Didn’t impress on his debut, not at all. Additionally he made two own goal attempts (one successful).

Yeah that sort of sums him up really, was very surprised when Solskjaer said he was going to be starting.

Looked the more composed centre back in the first half over Axel, for me.
It went horribly down hill for the guy in the second half, though.

These sort of games stick with defenders so now it's all about the mentality of the individual and if he can rise above this showing.

I think he was unfortunate last night but it's not just about one game, he really has this tendency to make mistakes.

Looks a talent. Haven't seen him play much, but certainly looks good.

 was about to write something similar.

His first ever game though, not going to judge to much here.

Really?!

Fact is, 50% of those lads last night don't have a future in the PL let alone at United. That's not basing it on that particular game, it's basing it on law of averages regarding youth team products. The vast majority simply don't cut it at the top level, at all.

Greenwood, Gomes, Tuanzebe, Laird, Garner. Nobody else, IMO

Of course. I wont have my hopes up but I think he handled himself well. They are clearly a well coached team, which plays a part but for him this was a big step up, a completely new level and I just think he handled himself well all things considered. Expected to see a lot more nervy moments but he was very calm. if he makes it or not is neither here or there for me, and despite the own goal there were signs of a decent player in my opinion.

Surprised that he started over Mengi. He has been decent this season but not really showed anything in particular before this season and Mengi has been a lot better actually. Don't know if he thought that Bernard would compliment Axel in a better way or what it was, but clearly he made the wrong choice there.

I'm thinking this Is going to be the shortest player performance thread in the history of the caf.

I’d cut that list to just Greenwood and Laird tbh. The rest have more question marks about their level for me.
