Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

They probably will play the CL 2021, and the ban will start in 2021, because they are going to appeal, and it will take months for a decision.

Guys why is anyone surprised or care? City is a wee club and always have been. We are talking about a club which is smaller then Blackburn.

Caring about city makes them look bigger then they are because the truth is they are a pebble in the shoe of a club the stature of United or Liverpool.

They got banned...100% deserved. Same should go with PSG. Clubs who were nothing in there leagues before oil money.
From a United fan's perspective they're our 2nd biggest rivals so we'll always enjoy taking enjoyment from their misfortunes.

PSG wouldnt have any of Neymar, Mbappe etc if it wasnt for your corrupted owners. Where were PSG before the oil money again?

Fine, you got pass any investigation now but lets see in s few years, maybe you get the same treatment as City.

I mean its pretty laughable If your fans thinks you can sign Neymar for 222 million pounds + wages and sign mbappe in the same transferwindow And its 100% legit? Haha

And yet our balance sheets were validated by the FFP every year since. You want to know how we did it? We had to sell players, every season, and couldn't afford to buy expensive ones to fill our gaps. Fortunately, we turned a nice profit on transactions like Guedes, Lo Celso or Berchiche. On top of that, a lot of our players are here for 5+ years so we're not paying there transfers anymore. Did you ever wonder why we are playing with guys like Bernat (bought 8M), Meunier (bought for 7M) or other players like that? Because we can't afford anything else atm. And that's pretty much the reason why our team is pretty unbalanced. We bought Mbappé for the price you bought Lukaku + Fred. We bought Neymar for the price you bought Maguire+Bruno+AWB.

Erhem, cough Leeds, erhem!
Personally, I dislike City a lot more than Leeds, but that's mainly to do with not knowing any Leeds fans whereas the City fans I know are insufferable, since the takeover they're indisputably my second most disliked team in the same time period Leeds have been irrelevant to us.

In what way are Man City smaller than Blackburn?

Will PSG be getting the ban hammer too or have they somehow avoided it?

It's already been discussed in the thread but they took their slap on the wrist a few years ago and have apparently towed the line since.

Granted it's easier to do in the French league as the standard isn't as high but there's no evidence that they were up to any of the shenanigans city have been banned for.

In fans.
And real, legit income generated probably too.
Titles as well pre oil money.

It’s really not much of a debate City are a small club It will take years to change that narrative and even then when you dive deeper in it and find out why they became relevant it’s even funnier.

Can you explain the finances/scenario around the Mbappe signing? I’m being serious. I thought it was a at age at the time, but I could be wrong?

The information we have come from the football leaks so it's likely to be pretty accurate.

Mbappe was loaned 1 year for free with a 145M option (+bonuses unlocked if he's sold or if his contract is extended) when he was 18, not to bend the rules of FFP but because Monaco wanted to manage their corporate tax for that year, then a 4 years contract. His salary is 50M for 5 years (started at 7M/year and increase every year).
PSG's president mentionned the fact that as far as the FFP is concerned, Mbappe was registered when he was loaned (and not when he was actually transfered) because we all sort of know that it wasn't a real option and that PSG was compelled to buy him (is think the option was completed if PSG managed to stay in Ligue 1 or something like that).

Does that answer your question?

Stay on topic. This is not the PSG thread.

I don't have a crowd gif like the RAWK one.

My god that place really is the delusional pits of the earth isn't it?

There are genuinely fans on there who believe that along with Manchester City, the other big English clubs (namely our lot and your lot) could (and if not could, then should) band together about this issue of Manchester City being banned for financial doping and 'creative accounting' to tell UEFA to feck off..

 yeah good luck with that.

i‘m sure you do this for the wum effect. Nobody could be that stupid. We bought those players with our own money. Money we have in abundance, notwithstanding our owners parsimonious and habitual greed. In fact, we underspend in relation to the money we learn, whereas you lot, Chelsea and Ciddy spend money that doesn’t belong to the club. Hence Ffp.

clear now?

All the players we bought we did so because we organically grew into the club we were. For all your great investments, his point still stands in that you wouldn't be anywhere without the state funded money.

No argument needed there!

So according to a sports lawyer city stars could walk from their contracts if CL football is a fundamental part of their contract. Contract breach baby!

Stay in Manchester? No problem! Come to your neighbours house Kevin!

Just imagine, De Bruyne, putting on.... A Salford City shirt

I read something horrible. They might scratch City's 2014 title because of this. And if so, the title might go to the number 2 of that year.

Guess who finished runners up in 2014...

I don't get it, why only 2014? Not that I'm complaining obviously but just one specific title, and that one in particular, is a bit strange. It's probably just journos wumming both Liverpool and Utd fans.

Accounts being investigated are 2012 - 2016 and they only won one title in that time. Thats my understanding

I can't see how they can give the title to Liverpool for that year. If they do that, then surely the team that finished 5th could claim for a missed CL spot.

They said the same when juve were relegated. They got fees for all of them anyway.

If it really were to come down to relegation which players would you reckon, would bolt straight for the exits and which ones would stay (Buffom, del Piero etc)?

Couple of years ago i would have said silva, kompany and maybe aguero. Cant see many hanging around now. Fernandinho maybe? Sterling and De Bruyne would be the ones i'd concentrate on trying to keep. Sane would definitely be off. Not sure i'd be too pushed keeping Jesus or Mahrez, they're replaceable and their wages would be a problem if you were trying to comply with FFP in League two. B. Silva and Rodri i'd want to keep but don't really see why they would. Laporte, Ederson and Walker i'd want to keep again, getting any of them to stay would probably be a bonus though.
