Well the fat bastard is backtracking and it shows what a huge own goal that was. Firstly it will probably harden United's stance and they wouldn't cooperate in any transfer.

He isn't generating the Pogba hype anywhere except in his own head, after all of this Utd won't budge from a huge asking price. No one will pay it and he knows it, better to backtrack and hope he will be forgiven and Utd will keep filling his and his clients pockets for years to come. His plan has clearly backfired he knows he will need Utd in the future as his star clients don't have many customers and to have one of them not willing to deal with him in the future will dent his chances of huge paydays.
I don't want him or Pogba here anymore and I am glad we didn't do deals for Haaland and Dr Ligt. Riola can well and truly do one.
Just seen on twitter, and don't shoot the messenger because I don't use Instagram and don't really get the point of it, but Pogba has seemingly just unfollowed both Martial and Rashford and been unfollowed by Martial. No idea if that's true or significant but some young lads seem very upset and angry about it on twitter

I think Raiola is so effective as an agent because he manages to work people up into a frenzy. If his ability to get people to react emotionally translates into/is reflected in boardroom settings then no wonder this man is so successful

Unfollowing someone is the worse thing you could do these days... doubt any of it is true though. Martial, Rashford and Pogba seem to get allong just fine.

If Raiola has done all this for a new contract for Pogba then it’s flat out crazy as I’m sure a United would have just given him one, Raiola backtracking means he knows he’s hardened our stance on Pogba and we’ve got another two years on his contract so we have enough power in the situation.
As good as Pogba is on his day I’m afraid his day is so rare that the constant circus surrounding him and Raiola simply isn’t worth holding on too so if we can get £120-£150 million for him then it’s a no brainer, if Villa go down we COULD POTENTIALLY get Sancho and Grealish in for the price of a Pogba sale.

Seems like a lot of current United players aren't following him. Though, I can't confirm if they ever did.
Why should we cut our losses on him? Chelsea got £115m for Hazard with one year left on his contract. Liverpool got £140m for Coutinho. We have a right to extend his contract for another year. Given the inflation in the market at a bare minimum we should be asking £100m, but more like £125-£150m.
I'd be very surprised if we even got £90m for him now. Clubs (Juve and Madrid) know we need to sell and he's desperate to leave.

We are not lowering our valuation. Only the fans have lowered his value. Last time I checked. Fans don’t sell players. You can’t even get Gareth Bale on loan and look at that mess.

Exactly. For Pogba case, I think we are not trying to hold on to a world class player like we tried to keep Ronaldo at all costs.
The reality is no club willing to invest big in Pogba. Even Madrid with Zidane is trying to lowball us. When he was at Juventus, Madrid also refused to pay 90mil for Pogba.
I think they club will sell if the offer is right with minimum 120mil.

We have seen many WC/quality players perform consistently in an average team, RVP Arsenal ,Schevchenko for Ukraine at world cup, Grealish for Villa etc.
Pogba has never had a consistent performance for us,he was not even the best French midfielder at the world cup.
He may leave and win the CL and the La liga/serie A,but I suspect that at the end of his career it may be said that he could have done so much more as a player if he applied himself.

seems like a wonderful scenario at face value but selling a WC winner for a low ball offer after he had that fantastic 15 game run is also pretty silly. We didn’t need the funds from Pogba for Bruno so it’s also non correlated. The club was trying to prove a point- we won’t get rinsed for top talent. If Madrid comes knocking then they should pay as we know they can.
As for Bruno- we didn’t want to get rinsed there and thought we could negotiate it. Bruno went on to have a fantastic second season but if he was plagued with injury or didn’t perform well Lisbon would have lost out on millions. Strangely it’s what happened to Pogba- or it could all be speculation. He could just be injured and Raiola may be playing his games cause he knows the Euros are coming and he is expecting for people to come in for Pogba again. Either means new contract or big transfer fee. Either way is a win for him. I also see them not wanting to rush Pogba back (or Pogba not wanting to be rushed back for the Euros considering if he gets injured again chances are he won’t play in them) cause if he goes down again it would be way harder to sell him come after Euros. Rushing Pogba back from injury is a lose lose
Completely agree. Madrid are only one point above Barcelona, who knows how they will fare in the CL. If they don’t do well I bet you Pogba will be bought for the right price- or a player plus money or two player deal swap which makes sense for us.

there’s always been so much speculation about Pogba, whether he’s a virus or a team player. Guess it’ll always happen at a big club but if we in such dire times it probably would never be brought up. He doesn’t take a team on his back and win, even Messi can’t do that for Argentina. If he was here under Ferguson or if Mourinho had us galloping again he would play great. There’s little evidence to prove otherwise. At Juventus and for France he works very well. He’s just not a miracle worker.

Hazard and Coutinho both played at an extraordinary level just before they were sold.
Pogba has never played at a level as high as Coutinho did in his last 18 months for Liverpool, and Hazard is so far above Pogba it's not even worth comparing the two.
Pogba also seems to be more injury prone than both and has hardly played this season.
This is precisely the problem. RM and Juventus only want to trade him for their very expensive deadwood. I suspect we won't get decent offer this summer neither.

The moment we bought Bruno, it never made sense to keep Pogba. Sell and reinvest but for that he needs to come back at a good level otherwise he will leave cheaply
As much as Pogba's fans are going to dislike this opinion, Fernandes >>>> Pogba, I mean Bruno has only been here a min and he actually communicates with his team mates on the pitch, does not do silly little dances, have silly little haircuts,does not strop like a pre-teen and has nothing to do with that Greasy snake like Pizza Guy.
