Yup. I like this a lot.All sounds pretty reasonable. Backing those who have paid into the system and have run their business and declared their income honestly.

I was out on Monday, the last day pre-'lockdown' and the moors had started to dry, it's surprising how quickly they can at this time of year. Sorry to say it but looking at the weather forecast it will be fire season next! Good luck.Yeh it's really nice, especially with weather like this! There were definitely people driving out to car parks around here for walks but it is still relatively quiet.
Look, we all know that these are difficult times for everyone, we don't need it constantly pushed in our faces by the self appointed experts on here, or those selectively posting the most "bad news" tweets they can find
There are loads of positives coming out of this, if people on here are too wrapped up in their conspiracy theories to see them then that's their problem
People are looking out for each other more, especially the old and vunerable
People volunteering more
People connecting more with their families through being together or home schooling
People realising that money is not the be all and end all
People realising what is really important
People realising that the people whose jobs are really important are actually those in food production, logistics, delivery, the care system and, of course, the NHS - often those who are paid the least
People seeing the benefits of socialism rather than capitalism and greed
Benefits for the environment
More awareness of mental health
People out exercising or walking as families that would never normally do so
The acceleration of a move towards remote working and the flexibility that this brings
The time to reflect or read or whatever
In a fairly unique position of receiving absolutely no help from the government I think.
Only started doing deliveroo recently so not eligible for the self-employed help, currently not employed by my university as the teaching contracts are fixed term and have run out and am a full time student through the PhD so can't apply for universal credit.
Don't worry, there's no false sense of security on my behalf. There's still no definitive evidence that we can't be reinfected multiple times.Whilst I really want to believe this too, please don’t lure yourself into a false sense of security.

Define giant feckoff. Does 1kg* count?I'd also like to know why you can't buy giant feckoff tubs of peanut butter like you get in America? Crappy little servings here.
So in June us self employed people get a payment of 80% of our monthly wage (under £2500) for how many months.
I'm not really understanding what's just been announced.
Just in case the federal govt tries to take over the state in middle of the crisisAmmunition? They going to shoot each other again?
Ah ok. I'm happy with that then. I would've liked it sooner but what can you do.3 I think? Will cover April May June. That's it for now, obviously they'll see where we go and what's happening after June
Inject one marijuana.I want what this guy’s having.
mate complaining that he's going to be out of pocket because his declared income for the last decade is about 8 grand less than what he actually makes. Actually thought I'd sympathise with him, the thick twat.

Just done a 2.5 hour walk with the dog and met maybe five people total. I like this world.
I absolutely love walking around Saddleworth. A little trip up to Pots and Pans would be glorious now.
If where i live is anything to go by you'll be about to have your best month ever.
Is there a published paper associated with his comments?Who's to say in a fortnight he won't change his mind and say 2 million deaths?
"I PREDICTED THIS" after making 400 predictions.
@DoomSlayer, what's happening to you and yours?Anyone else have their life completely ruined so far? I have to say that all this happened in the worst time possible for me and my family. We'll probably lose everything.![]()
4492 new cases in Italy (3.492 yesterday)
662 dead (683 yesterday)
Last time I ordered the food got cold while I struggled to delicately remove the packing as if I were handling nuclear waste.Nah it's dead and has been for two weeks.
There's less than 20 restaurants left on it in the whole city and they're all shit places so no one is ordering.
Chickens coming home to roost like the financial crash in 08. Lots of self employed got upset they couldn’t claim contribution based benefits when they chose not to pay their national insurance.mate complaining that he's going to be out of pocket because his declared income for the last decade is about 8 grand less than what he actually makes. Seems to be largely ignored by those most vocal about this. The wait for self employed is an issue, however, the july tax payment has been deferred, so most should have that to use to tide them over those three months.
Its teh zero hours contract and temp workers that still get very little I think.
The form we have to carry with us in Italy every time we leave the house has been revised again - I think it's the fourth version now. Each time it gets more complicated and you have to make even more declarations. You also have to include all your personal data.
The fine for being out without a valid reason is now up to 4000 euros.
You can also get universal credit or even a temporary job in the mean time. The wait for self employed is an issue, however, the july tax payment has been deferred, so most should have that to use to tide them over those three months.

I know lives are being ruined but everyone on Twitter complaining they’re not getting money because they’ve been tax avoiding for the past few years via dividend payments instead of taking a wage. Hopefully they have some good savings behind them.
That's good, makes it a bit easier for NHS staff. I'm wondering if the UK will bring in a form as they have in Italy - it would have to be less complicated than the one we're using. However, it works in that you literally worry just going 5 minutes away to the nearest shop, which is all we're allowed to do.My wife has just been given a form today stating she is a NHS key worker for in case the Police ask.
