They are obviously trying to play it down to not panic the country.
It's just lies at this point though. Looks really bad, especially on Raab earlier. Clearly just bullshit.

Yeah, I'm not sure that you can blame Boris for anything during this crisis. They've been reactive, obviously, because this virus is inevitable not matter how much you prepare for it in advance. The government have put a lot of stuff in place that's working, as well as the financial help for millions of people. Ok, it's not perfect and our NHS is a mess but I'd put that blame on Cameron and Osbourne. Maybe Blair and Brown as well, but definitely not BoJo. His government has made all the right moves imo.Boris is an utter twerp but the man was following the advice of Sir Patrick Vallance, and when that advice changed, his strategy for the country changed with it.
He’s got a baby on the way, I hope and I’m sure he’ll pull through.
Yeah, just looked it up, cardioversion. Much more minor than this though, he was in and out of hospital on the same day.He had a heart op in 2003.
No need for updates but don't insult peoples intelligence by claiming going into hospital was merely precaution. Most countries wouldn't create panic in the minds of everyone by giving minute to minute updates on PM's ill health.
It is ridiculous. is he the only top leader who is known to have got the virus? So am I right in thinking that there is a actual chance of the Prime Minister dying of covid 19, what a surreal thought.
The fact he needed to be given oxygen to aid his breathing before being moved to ICU says it all. Wouldn't surprise me if he's on a ventillator. They are obviously trying to play it down to not panic the country.
If he died we probably wouldn't know until a proper response has been organised. Well, unless the news leaks which it probably would.Lack of transparency at a time like this is another major feck up by this government.
Anyone else with the virus would have been under total rest, with zero mental exertion. He's not exactly an old man but it doesn't look like he lives a healthy life, imagine the pressure he must have been under for the past few weeks.

While obviously I hope Boris pulls through, hopefully he now understands how disastrous and idiotic his initial strategy and delayed response to the pandemic were. He wasted precious time and initially was prepared to plow straight on for "herd immunity" despite it being obvious that tens of thousands of people would die. It's very rare for politicians to have to suffer the repercussions of their own actions in the same way normal people do. Hopefully Boris will be one of the lucky ones who make it through, but there will be thousands deaths that might have been avoided with a more competent response.
I'm sorry, that is an idiotic commentary. You know nothing about this, and the fact you learned nothing in the past few weeks, unlike most posters in here, is quite unnerving.People still can’t quite get their heads around the following... until the UK health service is overwhelmed, no-one but Covid-19 is responsible for any deaths.
Probably because said politician and his party have been responsible for so many actual deaths?
Edit: I haven't clicked on the tweet and won't, nor do I wish death upon him. I'm just explaining why some may struggle to find sympathy since that's what you asked.
Hope he pulls through.
Worrying is the risk of heart failure once on the recovery path, the virus is a bastard.
I can't believe you are still finding a way to reason that decision almost one month later. It doesn't matter if he listened to fecking Pope, the point was that he was going against what WHO recommended and against what entire world was doing. If he told him that he jumps off a bridge, does that excuse him of making a suicide?
No am sure I’ve heard of aleast 2 others somewhere in South America and maybe Canada. It is ridiculous. is he the only top leader who is known to have got the virus?
How did you work that one out? Do tell. You're not sorry, you're just a monumental insensitive bellend. You're welcome.
Did you just describe our PM, and more importantly a fellow human being, as "it?"
You need to take a look at yourself, not just for that, but for the sentiments in this. Not the time or the place.

What a stupid fecking post. Just wish him the best and then take him to task when he recovers.
It'll be a close shave. I had the 1st of August wrong. It's the end of August.15th September, CPH half.... please be back to normal by then.
If you look at the graph on this page (should be self explanatory) it might be alright to test some measures. It's all conditioned by people adhering to social distancing etc. This whole movement to try and get things moving again seems so premature.

Twitter really is the worst sometimes. If your response is anything other than well wishes then you're not a very nice person.

Is this wannabe hunk in charge of the UK right now?
How did you work that one out? Do tell.
That was a genuine typo tbh I'm posting off my phone, but I'm not overly about the sentiment tbh.
People can take some sort of morale high ground but the fact is, he was happy to let thousands die, based off advice or not.
I'm not going to suddenly forget who is and why we're in this situation because he's victim of his own stupidity and is in ICU.
That's all I'll say on the matter but I'll end up arguing all night.
Pretty much yes. And many countries wouldn't even let anyone know that the PM is in trouble.I think a lot of countries would have an absolute meltdown if their leader was in this position, in fairness.
I dont get why people must tell your their political affiliation on here or on twitter, before they say whether they want him to survive or not...
How would you have acted differently?
Because plenty of other countries have had an even worse time of it than us.
Ironic.Because you spouted a load of crap.
You said:
I'm not gonna sit here send him my best wishes.
The man was happy to let thousands die to achieve herd immunity so it's quite ironic if he's one of them.

The first sentence (yes I picked the second clause) makes you a wanker, the second shows your ignorance of the situation. Crack on.
Someone is telling me it's been used successfully in the US

Look, if you don't have anything nice to say about Boris as he lays in intensive care with his pregnant wife in bits then maybe don't say anything at all, yeah?
Some people are just thick thinking they are clever, GO HOME.
