Premier League Gameweek 30+31

Drinks break - what is this, cricket?

The Arsenal game might be, with them chucking out a central defensive pair of Mustafi and some fecker I've never heard of in my life.

Surprised they didn't try to claim that was over the line just to make up for it.

According to the official Premier League broadcast (i.e. the one not from Sky), Hawkeye was always working (not just working since half time), and they explained the no-goal as Nyland's arm obfuscating everything enough to prevent the technology from giving the correct decision.

If it was so easy to confuse the technology then surely we would have seen it happen before this

Grealish is so elegant on the ball. I'll be quite disappointed if we're not in for him.

Strong as well, with a little more maturity and discipline he could be a superb deep lying plamaker in the right system. Very composed, hard to press, far better option than someone like Maddison.

what is that league cup team nonsense Arteta is putting out? There was a computer prediction of the remaining games I was reading the other day predicting city to win 7-3 thought it sounded daft at the time. Arteta will be to guardiola what David Wagner was to Klopp, a rollover lackey.

That's worse than the watch was broke excuse would have been.

Shows how poor a decision it was not to utilise VAR then.

Im guessing a few are on the way out and Arteta feels he cant trust them now?
Chelsea could be in the same boat.

I thought Arsenal strongest team was a league cup team?

Official explanation for Sheffield United’s goal not being given by Hawk-Eye Goal Line Technology: ‘The way that Nyland, the goalkeeper, catches the ball did not provide a sufficient image from that angle for the system to be activated.’

Exactly. I don't buy it when that hasn't happened before. I still remember Mile Svilar's mistake where he held the ball whilst it went over the line.

What I find weird is how this contrasts with the more popular Sky statement (technology started working at HT; watch gave the "Goal" signal). Where did Sky get their info from? The PL broadcast definitely got theirs from Hawk-Eye.

In other words we fecked up here's some bullshit excuse.

Anyone think Oliver fecked up somehow and is trying to save face by saying it only showed GOAL at HT? Maybe he actually forgot to charge the watch.

He would be better off claiming nothing came up.

The quality of this game doesn’t bode well for the initial round of fixtures.

Agree wholeheartedly. Imagine a midfield of Pogba-Bruno-Grealish

We'd become Gegenpress-resistant.

It seems as if most players are just doing the rounds and don't feel like playing.

They really should know better than to lie about this stuff. Oliver has already said he got the goal alert during HT ffs.

Our game on Friday night looks increasingly likely to be either be 0-0 or a 1-0 win either way.
