The negative reviews pale in comparison with the positive ones. They're a genuine fraction, so why would you so consistently focus on that element?
And you have mentioned politics. The game 'forcing its agenda on people' has been a running joke that's clung to you for months now. Largely because you outright refuse to explain it every time you're asked.
Let's be honest, you dug your hole ages ago and would rather focus on the proportionately small amount of criticism than crawl out.
And yes, there are valid criticisms to be made. No game is perfect. But, with your track record, I doubt anyone will take any of yours seriously.
There are boring moments and sequences, and far far too much looting. But the core gameplay of stealth combat is actually really fun. If you enjoy stealth games. Also when you upgrade certain weapons, and maybe change the difficulty slightly so you find more loot, playing it as a run and gun is seriously fun. The weight of the gun play is fantastic, your shotgun rips through people's bodies. You can shoot an explosive arrow that literally explodes them into a pulp.
You haven't played it, so thats a very odd thing to say. One of the few things many reviewers agree on is that the core gameplay is really fun.
Meh, the more I play the more it's obvious what geko was talking about. Druckmann mentioned it in a tweet too, some of the leaks referred to certain enemies which created a fuss that spilled in the actual game. It can only be that, as there's literally nothing else in the game (at least in the first 10hrs) to suggest any agenda pushing.
He is never going to answer us, because he simply hasn't got an answer that doesn't confirm it. Now the game is out and everyone can see, the wiggle room is gone. People can make their own minds up about how to see him in the future, but I will say that anyone who claims to give a shit about all the right wing nastiness in the world yet won't call it out (or in some cases bitch and moan when others do) you are part of the problem. If you see something, question it. It's not always going to be what you think, but if that person can't give a straight answer even weeks later, then...well...
And if you don't, move on, simple as that. I didn't take lots of opinions on this game seriously and I moved on, didn't cling to their posts.

This isn’t really fair at all. The gameplay is really engaging, full of suspense and the combat is fun. If you don’t like survival horror type games where you have to manage resources to beat the obstacle presented to you then you won’t like it, but if you do you will. To say it should just be a movie completely misses the point of having the game as an experience.
Again, to suggest people aren’t “real gamers” (which is pretty cringey gatekeeping anyway) if they enjoy the game without having played it is foolish.
I agree totally on the controls with @Redlambs , actually. I thought it was just me but sometimes they are really fecking annoying to remember, especially reload and taking the damn medkits!
People like different things, reviewers are people. Sure there's a hell of a lot of shadiness in that industry, but lot's of people loved the first game and this is pretty much a continuation, so it's no surprise they love this one.
I mean, engaging can be so many different things anyway. If you aren't into a slower, more story driven game then this definitely isn't for you. It's not even the best example of one anyway imo so you won't be missing out even if you like survival action games.
No people's biggest issue is, you. didn't. play. the. game. I wrote quite a large response on why that is an issue, probably annoyingly long to read. But you're completely missing the point of story driven video games if you think they can just be watched.

I always find the best way a game is seen is months down the line. Red Dead 2 was lauded as a masterpiece, but weeks or months later the flaws were exposed, whilst still seen as great.

I just hope people will take what I'll say now lightly, but the problem I have found so far with Ellie and Dina relationship that it's shoehorned in the story with no reason or purpose behind it than it being just there. Dina could have been just a friend or could have made her a male and it would have gone exactly the same so far. First game has an incredibly well done and developed father-daughter relationship between Joel and Ellie, he didn't like her at first and found her annoying but grew on with her as their journey continues and as they faced a lot of danger together till he became obsessed with her and considered her his new daughter, and the end result was just great. We went on from such a great developed relationship with a very strong purpose and impact on the story to some useless and pushed on one that could have been anything else and it wouldn't have affected the story so far At ALL, and I'm saying "so far" as I'm still at the start just to be fair but it doesn't look like it'll have any effect on Ellie's quest so what's the reason if it being here ? Nothing but it just being here. This is totally regardless of your opinion on the social politic matter.

I think Last of us 2 will get better with time. At first when I finished it, there was a certain blank feeling at what I have just experienced. Looking back at it now, I feel I understand the character and underlying story much better than I did at that instant.
It's not airtight story and it does fail in certain regards. But it's still a powerful experience that you have to play to understand it. Watching cutscenes is never going to cut it.
It's one of the unique game where I actually agree with both negative and positive review.
I don't get why their relationship would be useless or "pushed on". I'd say their scenes are wonderfully handled and their chemistry is great.

I have to say I haven’t played the first LOU as I never felt it would be my cup of tea but on seeing the response in here and online I think I probably need to make the time and effort to play both of them. I’m not a big fan of the uncharted games so I think that’s put me off. I know the story is very different but I’m just wondering if there any of you who love the LOU but find uncharted to be similarly boring.
I knew she's, and as I said I'm not talking about it from socially politically matter, that's why I urged people to take it lightly because I knew some got super angry when this get open. My problem is it has no impact on the story. While the relationship between Joel and Ellie was the main center of the first game, and the reason you were interested in it at all, and even the lesbian relationship in the DLC was done in a good way, the one in this game has absolutely no impact on purpose on the story, because Ellie's journey is centered to be around revenge from the start. Having a lesbian friend in this one serves absolutely no purpose than just showing their case and that's it ? By saying "could have been male" I just mean Dina could have been literally anything else than a lesbian and the story would have went on the same. You think otherwise ?
And again, I hope people will take this lightly because I'm talking from the game's perspective only.

That's exactly why the point works so well for me. They are a couple and a natural couple, its not amazing, not special. For me that's is what I like about it. They are two friends who seem to be falling for each other. I don't think they even love each other a lot.
The relationship between Ellie and Dina isn't supposed to be as close as the father daughter bond she has with Joel.

Off topic but its gameplay is a ball of shite that controls like it was released on Ps1.
Red dead redemption 2 has good story but controls are so bad that it almost made me give up on the game. Rockstar game design is outdated and probably hasn't changed from GTA 4. Those criticism were masked by initial excitement. Not sure how you can like Red dead Redemption gameplay and then feel Uncharted is boring. They both have same criticism of gameplay.

That's true so why does it matter? The entire point of it is that the story would have been the same regardless of their orientation. It's a normal natural developing relationship which I actually think is done very well.
I would say that's a bit harsh on ND. The controls in TLOU are way better than in GTAV and the controls in this are way better than in RDR2! The problem with doing a critical analysis like that is I really could go into much more depth which would make more sense to people, but they wouldn't read more so that makes it look way more negative. But the reviews and online gamers and all that all seem to have missed the things that are there, since everything is for likes these days I guess that's why. My biggest issue with the gameplay is related to this but subtly different. I'm going to put it in spoilers as although it's not story related in any way it relates to the collectables you get through the game.
The game is based on tension and the atmosphere, but to find the collectables that do exist you have to clear out an area and then go back through it to look for anything hidden. This breaks the flow for me as you can spend a good 20 minutes looting the area, followed by an area of relative calm before it gets tense again. It ends up feeling like each area is artificially calm to me rather than deliberately.
This wouldn't matter if they didn't put collectables that directly impact the gameplay in terms of crafting books in hidden areas . Just putting the crafting books in easily accessible locations and the true collectables in hidden areas would have solved that easily.

I am pretty sure you can find crafting books later if you missed in its original location and they will be pretty straightforward loot. But I do agree game encourages you to clear the area if you want to explore. But for me it came as good break between intense encounters.

What you say is probably what makes her character one of the best portrayals of a gay character in a game. Her sexuality does not matter in the sense of how the story plays out. She isn't identified by that trait, unlike some characters from other media that use their sexuality as a "hook". It doesn't come across as gimmicky either. I'm not sure why anyone would have a problem with her character being gay.
