Premier League Gameweek 33+34

This is reminiscent of a lot of City games this season, dominating but not turning that into goals or a result.

Crazy how City just can't put the ball in the net. Not sure how much longer Southampton can withstand this amount of pressure.
City's passing and movement is immense. The only thing they can't find is the net...fair play to Soton

Ederson's reputation now preceding him. If you knock out one of your own guys to clear a ball, it sends a message.

This right here is why we got caned by Liverpool over the season, profligate in front of goal, other teams burying their chances that they get too easily. Great in between both boxes put poor actually in both.

The Real game will be interesting, can't afford to miss many chances against them.

How many goals will City conceede because of their modern way of playing it out from the back before people and Pep realise that insisting so much on it is complete bullshit and nowhere near as important as he and his fans think it is?
Comments like this would carry more weight if City hadn't absolutely shit on the league for 2 seasons in a row with that style of football.

Saints at home won't be easy if they play with this tempo. They've had to rely on their keeper a bit but they have worked their socks off.

BBC's crowd noise seems a lot better than the others', more in tune with the game, good level.

Always a tough game Southampton.

Even when we beat them it's always really close.

A lot of 3-2's it feels like.

KDB having a shocker after coming on.

Yeah it's a tougher game than it appears at first glance. Their away form is surprisingly brilliant.

Our front 3 are better than the City front three (in this game at any rate).

They've earned the scoreline up to now though. Let's see if they can hold on

They shit on the league because their midfielders and forwards are better than rest of the league, and not because Otamendi can pass the ball better than Matip.

Even when they were at their best two seasons ago they conceeded awful lot after defensive mistakes, but their forwards made out for that. That's why they are dominating English football and not European football. And their defenders pretending to know how to play football instead of actually knowing how to defend is one of the main reasons why they are 20 points behind Liverpool. Btw, that same Liverpool shat the league by playing hoofball, so there's that too.

This match is a good reminder that we must not be complacent and avoid rotating too much. It's why I want us to go full strength for all our games and sub players off if we're in the lead!

Terrific work rate from Danny Ings so far...

Reckon City will score in the 85th and then in the 93rd. It's the "Southampton Way"

I find city play much better and attractive football. You guys play efficient football. It's just matter of opinion, no need to get worked up for that.
I agree with this. Love watching us play but not surprised that neutrals prefer the watching City play.
Klopp was criticised a lot in his first couple of seasons here for playing entertaining football but ultimately not winning anything. He has changed rhe way we play and made us incredibly efficient in both boxes which is why we've won so many games.

Yes.
City can rotate, they have nothing to play for in PL, and have good bench. Who we gonna rest in a must win games and every one is for the rest of the season and who to put on the pitch? Andreas, Jesse, Diogo, Calamity Eric, Mata? :nervous: Only Fred, McT, Ighalo and Williams. Rest is meh.
