That way if any of these idiots come to him complaining about a lack of game time he can just show them this game as the reason. Absolutely shocking football.

I don’t buy the whole “this is a dead rubber game” argument either. Apart from Maguire, every single one of these plays should be giving everything to prove they are good enough to be playing here.

Most of these players have looked like this since August last year. I think it’s safe to say this is their level.

The issue for me is that there are a few players here who lack a position. Williams and Fosu-Mensah don't look that comfortable as full backs, and then you have the likes of James, Mata and Lingard who aren't really doing a lot in their positions. Only Fred, McTominay, Ighalo and Maguire look comfortable in their areas.
