Internationals September (Nations League + Friendlies)

Cashout almost always sucks. Better to let it ride and rather cover with a bet on Sweden to score if you have to.
Good. So I’ll blame you Samid if I lose, that’s all I was really looking for anyway :)

Griezmann

First defeat for the Danish national team in a match of significance since November 2016. And then with a new national coach ... Not a good start for him.

Penalty conceded by a united defender won by the United striker and missed by the guy that almost came to United.

Who does this hoof ball suit in France beside Giroud and even Giroud himself isn't a miracle worker expected to win every long ball coming from Lloris.

Haha Lindelof gave up a penalty to Martial and they also exchanged jerseys after the match. Predictable.

Lots of folks talking about how France are being forced to play hoofball. In reality, they actually don't have many good attacking midfielders, apart from you-know-who. Contrast this to Portugal who have 2-4 who can cut apart any side.

EDIT: They do have Aouar but did he even play today?

They were not too bad. Easy routine victory for Belgium though, without De Bruyne, Hazard, Meunier and Courtois.

They have plenty but the manager chooses work horses instead.

badly missed Pogba today that's for sure.

This is also true. For all the talents we keep raving on about France, it's mostly in attack and maybe defense. You take out Pogba and there isn't any creative talent in that team, at least so far. Kante, Sissoko aren't going to inspire much creativity or control in midfield. Watching France was a bit painful tonight with them always trying to bypass the midfield and trying to hoof the ball straight to Giroud.

Football is way too easy for the reigning defending undisputed European + Nations League champs :)
We played without Rakitic, Brozovic, Modric, Perisic and Vrsaljko. That is whole midfield

Justice for Hareide.

Come on man! I like the ENgland team, but that defender had his arm wrapped to his chest. There is nothing he could have done there to prevent the ball from hitting his arm
I was replying to the Iceland pen. The England pen was clear. Sverrir jumps in front of Sterling and his elbow extends outwards and stops the shot. Clear penalty.

Hopefully Camavinga and Aouar become that type of creative players but no France do not have plenty of creative midfielders.

Find it hard to see France competing with England, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands and Spain when you look at the rising stature of the others vs the established but regressive performances by the French. Is there any more promising youth coming up for them soon? Seems some players need a serious motivational kick in the ass.

Do you rate Griezmann still? Part of me feels that France should line up in a 4-3-3:

Mbappe - Martial - Dembele/Coman

Pogba - Kante - Aouar/Griezmann

Mendy/Digne - Upamecano - Varane - Pavard

I think that team above could win the Euros comfortably. Not the team we saw today.

I don't think it would have made much of a difference as almost none of those players have the legs to keep up over 90 minutes with that Portugal team.

Calm down we just struggle against low blocks because Deschamps isn't exactly a great manager

We still have more promising youth than any of the nations you've named.
