Yeah but they are the overall authority and it’s their regulations that govern football as a whole.

The training compensation costs regime also includes transfers within the same country/association and are part of the same section of regulations. I don’t really see much of a difference.

I get you, and yeah, you are right. My only guess is that the solidarity compensation is to make sure that foreign clubs in lesser (mainly poorer associations) get well-compensated so that they continue to develop young players. Nowadays, with young players getting transferred to other countries from a young age (like Pogba to us or City's numerous foreign young players), there's not much of a chance for the training clubs to make a good amount of money.

EDIT: This helps the South American countries that tend to get raided by Portuguese clubs big time now that I think about it.

5-10 is peanuts, our driven focus is not to make profit by selling players. Imagine the Bruno situation, que turns out great he can be bouht back and YIPY YEAH we made 5-10 million profit he turns out shit like Alexis and then its our problem, does that looks in any kind like a win situation to you?

Thats the kind of clause Madrid used on Casemiro with Porto and Carvajal with Leverkusen. Sure those teams make a "wonderful" profit, but what would they rather have done? make a 5-10M profit or keep the player?
 
Life as a muppet is a hard one, the media don't even bother making things up anymore. We're barely living off breadcrumbs, what an awful window so far.

Clearly they have backed Mourinho if they sign a striker as he wants after they are done with Reguilón.

If he doesn't stop moaning even after this, one can clearly say that he is no longer the "Special One". He should land Top 4 (hopefully not at our expense) and at least win the FA Cup or Europa League. Spurs need a trophy. Long overdue.
 
Maybe we need to find an attacking full back who is comfortable on both sides,not saying that is easy and personally think it's too short notice now

Not many who are good at attacking on both sides but Dest is a good prospect that fits the mold. Not a great defender but is young, great dribbler and strong with both feet. I don't think he is ready for the jump yet but looks to be Bayern or Barca bound.
 
I will always be grateful to Giggsy for what he did in his playing career,however can't ever forgive him for telling Moyes not to sign Thiago in 2013.

It's all on you two that he has ended up joining Liverpool so hope you feel proud of yourselves.

If we really wanted to sign Thiago now, we probably could have. Just throw money at it. But we didn’t. So blame someone for something 7 years ago is kinda daft.

In this year we signed Donny Van de Beek, Bruno Fernandes, and Odion Ighalo (loan) for total fees > £85m. Awful? We've not signed anyone we don't need.

He was talking about the window, to include Bruno and Ighalo in the conversation is misleading. While VDB looks a great signing, it is hugely underwhelming to have signed a single rotation player while our rivals, who we needed to gain ground on, have strengthened left and right. There's no sugarcoating it.

I’ve always considered Bruno being bought with the Lukaku money. I know there are articles saying the club consider it part of this summers budget but that doesn’t make sense to me when you consider last summer we were looking at Bruno and Dybala etc.

It would be a real surprise for us to have a summer window and ‘only’ spend £35m. That would be our lowest spend in a very long time. If one or two leave as well it could end up being close net zero.

In the middle of crazy panicked lockdown (due to Chinese accidentally releasing a synthetic virus?). A worldwide lockdown which wiped out entire sectors of economies. It would be a real surprise which doesn’t make sense to me.

Rather presumptuous to think that wanting a player means you'll get him. By all accounts he wanted to go to Liverpool.
 
25 mil?? Ffs, can we sign Liverpool's or Chelsea's man who does transfers? 25 mil with zero PL games and goals. Ibe, Ings and Solanke went for 20 also without having decent minutes for first team. Bloody hell
