I feel like he just isn't going to get worse, despite that being how most cases go especially in people of his age and health. It just seems to be the way things go these days.

Not even death really, but would've probably been better for the world if he had suffered really badly from it and come out looking awful. The way it's gone it's only emboldened people who think it's all overblown.

I was ambivalent until his whole “the flu is worse, don’t be scared - you too can beat it in days (if you have access to round the clock million dollar healthcare) thing. I think that was when many felt feck it - he’ll kill far more people if gets through it unscathed than if he ends up dead/on a ventilator.
Has he been seen since his unmasking? I thought he was doing a press conference yesterday? I’m still not convinced he’s as healthy as is being claimed.
That 74 year old father of an adolescent is personally responsible for signing executive orders which has lead to god knows how many infants being separated from their parents with deliberately no mechanism to reunite them. Before any sort of trial to determine their immigration status and rights to asylum.
He’s ignited and emboldened white supremacists to attack, maim and kill people who are carrying out their constitutionally right to protest.
He‘s rolled back environmental regulations that are crucial in the fight against climate change.
He‘s rolled back regulations which are designed to protect endangered species for the benefit of wealthy trophy hunters.
He’s actively promoted conspiracies around coronavirus which have had a devastating impact on the CDC’s ability to push a clear and coherent message, politicising the use of masks, this in itself has arguably resulted in thousands of extra deaths.
He’s promoted anti-vax theories which as a doctor I’m sure you understand the impact of all too well.
He cut the pandemic early warning program 18 months before the pandemic struck as a cost cutting exercise to cover the huge tax breaks he gave to the 1%.
But sure, let’s all wish this father a speedy recovery and hope he gives Barron the same guidance into adulthood that clearly worked so well for Don Jr, Eric and Invanka who continue his great work and shine a light on the world with their empathy and altruism.
I’m well aware that he’s a terrible person and I think I made it abundantly clear that a speedy recovery is the last thing I’m hoping for here.
So you’re hoping for a long and protracted illness? That position doesn’t exactly sit nicely alongside your initial moral outrage?

Yep. The right in this country has already made it known that there is a sacrificial age strata of citizens, a strata in which the current president firmly lies (but he has the medical apparatus to actively combat the virus).
It’s great seeing that sacrificial strata has swung massively to Biden. Coupled with his idiotic choice to delay funding to combat the virus to after he election, this is swaying any remaining ambivalence out there. He even looks worse performing an 180 with the stimulus checks tweet.
