Italian Serie A - 2020-2021

Difference is milan have a lot more confidence these days, and inter just can't defend in space

Lukaku is such a unlikeable guy with his hand waiving , reactions and all that

Milan bringing it home

Ibra dominator

You can bet your last dollar that when the match defining moment comes up, Lukaku will fail to deliver

Alcohol sales are banned in Lombardy after 6pm but I'm gonna find another way to celebrate the derby win tonight. :)

Wacky Races level of uncertainty with De Laurentiis / Dastardly bemoaning Napoli not gone to play Juve last week, hinting that they would have destroyed us on the pitch. Gattuso / Muttley nodded in agreement. :wenger:

Seria A sails past Premiership and takes over the goals per game crown. 3.67 now.

This matchday already with 3-3 match, and 3-2 between Cagliari - Crotone at half. I'm counting on them coming up to 8 goals at least.

Interesting wrinkle from Pirlo, having Bonucci push forward off the ball and join the midfield/attack to in the build up to throw off hellas' man to man scheme

Two shots on target for Juve so far, Ronaldo obviously a big miss.

Eh, they had a goal ruled out for offside, cuadrado smashed the bar on a great chance...they've worked the ball into dangerous areas but consistently failed to work in a final ball

Not sure how much Cristiano would have helped with that. They've mostly struggled to break through the press

Same way he's done it countless times for the past 2 years in similar games

If Pirlo ever starts Bernardeschi ahead of Kulusevski again he should be sacked on the spot

1-1

Second half yeah

Kulusevski is fecking good

Juve bought well this summer. Kulusevski and Arthur are class. Chiesa will give them some athleticism they've been missing and Morata will fit in well in the striker role.

Just need Pirlo to get it all together now and stop having half the starting eleven injured

Good. Nice and pissed off for the CL game. Keep that energy until midweek

Huge chance for the Milan clubs this season, more so Inter.

Atalanta and Lazio too.

Nah think Lazio have past their peak, could have similar season to Napoli last year given their results so far.

Not sure what's happened to Atalanta since the break, 3-1 loss at home to Sampdoria at the weekend. Perhaps Ranieri has another miracle in store as Samp have some really good results already this season.

The writing was already on the wall last season for Juve. The Série A has gotten significantly better with many good teams. If they keep stumbling this early on and other clube take advantage they can be in very big trouble.

Pirlo has not had his squad at 100% all season and I also have not seen all of Juve games this season because of work so I don’t want to harp on him too much but if they don’t start winning soon they are in trouble.

Yeah but it wasn't because other teams got better. Juve just got so much worse. This must be like one of their worst teams in the last 10 years. Reminds me a bit of the Diego, Krasic, Amauri era.
Now add to that that they have Pirlo who never ever managed a team in his life and you have a recipe for disaster.

I still think Ronaldo will carry them when back. Might be enough to win the title.
Milan can really do it, but being in Europe might take too much energy for that squad.
I just feel Inter will bottle it even if they look ready to win it.

The fact that many Serie A teams got better is clear, people who doesn't agree imho don't watch enough Serie A or already forgot how shit, for example, Inter or AC Milan were a few years ago.

Starting line-ups just 3 years ago in Derby della Madonnina (15.04.2017):
Handanovic - D'Ambrosio - Medel - Miranda- Nagatomo - Kondogbia - Gagliardini - Joao Mario - Candreva - Perisic - Icardi.
vs
Donnarumma - Calabria - Zapata - Romagnoli - De Sciglio - Josè Sosa- Mati Fernandez - Kucka - Suso - Deulofeu - Bacca

3 years ago, not 10... How many of them would make current's starting XIs bar those who still play for Milan clubs?? Maybe Miranda for Nerazzurri, prime Suso for us, STOP!

For sure both teams have improved, same for Atalanta and Lazio while Napoli are pretty much on a similar level and the only Serie A team that really got worse are Roma. Monchi did a lot of damages there, they went from Szczesny/Alisson, Manolas, Rudiger, Emerson Palmieri, Pjanic, Nainggolan, De Rossi, Strootman, Paredes, Salah and prime Dzeko to Zaniolo, Spinazzola, Smalling and a bunch of mediocre players..

And since then both teams have spent over 500million € each on new players.
Juventus takes the cake though over 700million since 2017-18

He's an all time great

Also he's gigantic, superstrong, and can still physically bully any player in italy

He has just scored again. Did United let him go too early and buy Lukaku?

Not really your fault. An injury that serious and at the age he was really should be ending his career. This man is not normal.

Where's Smalling at, injured surely? Would've liked to seen him vs Ibra, he would've cleared that first goal easily.

Edit - Roma forum says he's recovering from something and they were hopeful to get him back for this game, nobody specified what
