The only day in my life I wish I could be an elected Congressman, and at the Capitol today, as I would have punched Cruz in the face. This is on him as much as any other GOP member, Trump, right-wing hate talk media persons, et al.
Feeling sorry for them is not exactly the right term, but I do think it's a sad state of affairs. I'm sure some of them are otherwise peaceful citizens who are misguided and truly believe they're on the right side. They might be decent people, a husband, wife, father, mother or whatever, even among those who broke into the capitol. Being misguided isn't an excuse, they should be prosecuted, but I do think the celebrations or "got what she deserved" posts about a person dying are a bit vulgar. I just think it's tragic to be honest.
