I trust PSG more than I do Bayern to beat City. Play like today on the counter at the Etihad and I'd expect a straightforward PSG win.
I think Bayern with Lewandowski + Gnabry would beat City too.

Amazing tactical gameplan by Pochettino. Nullified Bayern at home and certainly created one of psg fans best night in football today.

As I stated many times, Pochettino is in the top two managers in football right now. He keeps making his naysayers eat crow time and time again. 3 goals away at Bayern(best team in football) is an unbelievable accomplishment.

Please go away, you already won that battle and live rent free in many heads. There is no need for more trolling.

I like Poch and think he has done well as a manager but I failed to see any actual gameplan today aside from give the ball to Neymar or Mbappe. Thought PSG were dire however Bayern's finishing wasn't up to scratch.

Not sure about that, on another day Bayern (or City) score about 6 goals today.

PSG’s tactics today reminded me of early United Ole vs a Top 6 side.

I don't think there's another way to win away vs this Bayern. You will be dominated and overrun, so have to plan for that and also rely on luck.

It essentially is the same football as us with better forwards. I certainly wouldn't want to be watching this week in week out.

Poch is honestly lucky to have these players. Otherwise there is no difference between his coaching and Tuchel's generally speaking.
He is very very lucky

I don't know. Who would win if Bayern went toe to toe with City? They are number 1 and 2 in world football right now. The tried and tested way to beat City as demonstrated by United multiple times over the last few seasons is play exactly the way PSG set up today against Bayern.

Lost his captain and best centre half to injury in the first half too. Should take that into account.

I have zero idea how he pulled this off. Actually, had Barca been slightly more clinical in the 2nd leg, I feel they would have been knowcked out in that game itself.

But today, was another level. I mean, looking at Bayern's chances, they could have easily scored 6 odd goals on any other day.

But credit where it is due. I praised our side for some similar wins vs City, so only fair to praise PSG on winning against a much better opposition

Maquinoishos was sensational before his injury. Pochettino adapted to that, not with a straight swap, but rather with putting Diablo in the defense and giving psg more work horses in the midfield. If other top clubs would have lost their captain and key defenders, they would have crumbled, but not under PSG with Pochettino. He has built a strong mentality of champions already. Something that Sit Alex was excellent at, and what we lack at United at the moment.

Even though they could still go out and I still expect them to go out because Bayern are a monster of a team, this result was an excellent performance. I would be surprised if Psg actually knock Bayern out especially if Lewandoksi and gnabry are fit for the second leg. Psg needs Marquinos back if they are to have a chance and all their key players fit.

There isn’t a chance in hell that if united put in that performance and got the same result you wouldn’t be saying something about Ole being lucky and relying on individual brilliance.

He is also unlikely to have the likes of Gueye, Pereira and the set of fullbacks that he has. But yeah, PSG are a dumbster fire without Mbappé and Neymar.

He‘s playing Bayern away mate you‘d be mad not to play on the counter? was you expecting them to show up and boss the game?

On another day Bayern win this game for sure they had loads of chances but still after beating Barce last round he’s on the verge of beating Bayern in a quarter final, 2 very tough games.

From what I have seen this season, United wouldn’t put in a performance like that unfortunately. Most likely it would be 0-0 or we win 1-0 if we manage a good result. Against top teams, we struggle to put together passes and even though we have solid defenders, with constant pressure and if luck is not on our side, we would falter. The lack of coaching is apparent and it seems like having a strong defense and defensive setup is the reason why we are decent against team when we sit back and park the bus.

You make it sound like he's still managing Spurs. PSG is a superstar team.

Not that there's anything wrong with counter-attacking football, btw. I just want to kill the idea that Pochettino is some sort of relentlessly attacking coach ala Pep, Bielsa and Klopp(before he started to get good results).

I mean to say his real coaching impact will be felt by next season, PSG haven't played that much differently whereas if you compare Bayern before and after Flick.

No, they are not.

I agree this was the most likely way to win. But I prefer to watch the Bielsa, Pep and Naglesman style of football week in week out. You have to understand after watching Jose and Ole ball I want to go the opposite way.

Bayern had the players but were underperforming with Kovac. PSG don't have the players, that's the level of players like Gueye, Pereira, Draxler, Dagba, Diallo and even 33 years old Di Maria, people should look at what they actually have instead of just looking at the logo.

You make it sound like they should be doing better? 4 goals in Barcelona and 3 goals tonight at Bayern against 2 of the best teams in Europe. You’d be crazy not playing counter attacking football away at those 2 sides.

They have a superstar attacking duo. Not a team.

You mean like against City a month or so ago where we soundly beat them away? Or when we beat PSG away soundly?
You literally just described PSG tonight, barely any of the ball and relied on individual ability (when was the last time we conceded 30 shots?).

However, I am consistent enough to say that it was good from PSG, ultimately going toe to toe with Bayern would be futile and you have to play on the break and ride your luck. I just find it funny that it’s quite blatant if this was united/ole your reaction would be completely different.
