Meh, don't expect anything controversial from them. At the end of the day, they'll go where the money and prestige is (rightly so by the way, I'd do the same for my wallet)..

nothing to do with players or managers. They shouldn’t be pushed to comment to be honest.

I understand the logic. It's not a terrible idea.

The clubs mentioned built the competition into what it is and are the main draw of the competition. Teams like Arsenal and United probably rightly think, we helped establish the current iteration of the competition and aren't reaping the rewards.

How many times have Arsenal won the European Cup?

As far as I am aware it would be a breakaway league, so all teams involved would leave their current league and not participate anymore.
There would be 12 founding members who cannot be removed from the league in the form of relegation.
5 clubs would be invited each season to participate (the winners of the remaining teams in the top 5 leagues england, france, germany, spain, italy)
What I don't understand about that is why would clubs join this (and therefore be expelled from their own leagues?) if they weren't guaranteed not to be removed from the league? Where would they go when relegated? Or would they, as each set of teams join each year, have to expand the leagues and have a 2nd division, 3rd division, etc?

Nothing is getting announced now is it, I think the backlash has them holding off on any announcement.

You absolute gobshite. I'm sat on the sofa next to my wife and her mother.
 missus sitting beside me, doesn't believe it was because of a tweet.

Question, from a purely sporting perspective.

How do you generate motivation from teams playing other teams that are languishing near the bottom half of this Super League, given that relegation or exit isn't a thing?
Money

Just wondering, could this Super League sign players to then be put in a draft system for the teams in the league? Can see shite like this down the line.

Probably worth asking fans of American sports? I’ve asked before and they say it’s just going through the motions once play offs aren’t a question.
