Hearing from my friends who work for United that staff are being spat at as they leave work.
Worth reminding people that 99% of the staff - including senior management, apparently - had no knowledge of the Super League plans, let alone backed them. Many staff are just as upset about it as fans. Also, some of them already wish they didn't work for the club, so please take it easy on them!

So seems there is a protest tomorrow and then there is one more before the Liverpool game. Hopefully it's a good turn out.
The ones born on twitter by YouTube personalities/Twitter fans don’t have a good track record, the last one organised was an embarrassment. The Liverpool one will be far more impactful. Let’s hope they both make noise.

I don't believe those people are United fans. Surely they would be aware that Glazers wouldn't be sharing details of the super league with them?

OK. So after the dust settles down over the proposed ESL uproar, i have these few questions i would like to ask.
1st things 1st, i don't quite get it on why fans everywhere are really hating this ESL. I mean, if let's say it goes on, wouldn't they be happier to play PSG or Madrid or Barcelona on most weeks rather than just on UCL nights? Or they don't prefer these as it is not "special" anymore if its on a regular basis?
and number 2, is about they say how the owners are greedy blah blah blah, but how are these any different now? its not like the owners are giving the fans money every week and will stop giving if they join the ESL. they are still "invisible" pretty much they whole season. and it also wouldnt mean that they gonna raise the tickets prices or merchandise price. Isn't it a good thing if Man Utd are making a lot of money out of this ESL? theres not much difference to us as fans. we just watch matches on telly and go on with our lives once its over etc..
So, please be kind and explain to me in layman terms. Thank you!

Yeah, i mean there's always a few dickheads in a crowd, and I'm not saying this is widespread behaviour, but certainly at least one of these protestors is taking things too far.
If Arsenal can get over a thousand people to protest and their club legends supporting ousting of the owner
surely we should be able to turn this into something worth while. It's been close to 20 years of the current ownership here and they've always been hated. Gary mentioned it, but we need to see these people saying in no uncertain terms, it's time to go.

From my point of view
1. I don’t want to watch matches against madrid or Barca constantly, they lose their appeal. A match is special if you’re playing them now and again
2. No relegation. These clubs don’t even have to qualify. Boring
3. More money for glazers. Who said most of it will go to the club?
Tomorrow's protest is bothering me - I fear it'll be underwhelming and counterproductive. It simply doesn't have the backing and organisation and the fact it's not on a matchday is a big mistake. I'll probably go anyway, but fear the worst. If there's 100 protestors it's going to look embarrassing.

This is surely not true. Who's spitting on them? Where? This doesn't even make sense as an accusation.

2) Even with no relegation, would you think United would just lay down and let it get piss on by the other ESL clubs?
3) Again, why do we care as fans? As long as the Boss gets the player he wants and keeps on winning games, no?
I'm just reporting what I've been told by people at the club. I know the name of one person who was targeted, but obviously won't be revealing it. They were spat at as they exited the East Stand reception.
I also don't want to diminish the efforts of people protesting, but like I say, there are people (well, at least one person) amongst them who are overstepping the line and risking not only the reputation of the people they are with but the health of people who just happen to work in a low ranking job at one of the largest employers in Trafford.
And some want them to own 50 plus 1 in the club too.
There has been no protest at the ground yet.

I'm repeating what I've been told by people who work at the ground. I know many of them, including family. Why in your narrative of things are my friends and family lying to me about this?

It's okay, I know it's disappointing to think people are doing something like that while supporting a cause we all agree with. Like I say, probably just one or two individuals taking things too far.
There haven't been big crowds, just a few small gatherings with people bringing home-made banners and stuff.

Also think the relentless, monotonous white noise of anti Glazer protests over the years has made it much more difficult now we have a reason to protest. Sadly they’re well placed to ride this out as there’s protest apathy here like there maybe isn’t at other clubs after a decade of being screamed at that every yellow card is because of the debt

Well apparently there’s a ‘YouTube’ protest and a ‘real’ fan protest the week after.
So they’ll probably both be crap as fans can’t decided if they are Ole in or Ole out.
Born in Ashton, moved back here recently after living in various other parts of Manchester for the best part of 20 years. Live fairly close to our statue of the three Ashton-born World Cup winners!
2. I care about the spirit of the game. Where’s the motivation if you know you can’t get knocked out?
