Eh? How much have you spent on players? Pepe cost nearly £70m. You’ve spent plenty, got a good squad and finished 9th which is abysmal.
I do still think Ole needs fresh ideas and some different coaches to work with. I feel like we'll rely on new players to freshen things up, and yeah that could work, but surely we've got to be looking at the overall picture. I believe Ole has a place here, but surely he should take a page out of Fergie's book and look at the staff around him to spice things up.
If Ole persists with his coaching staff who are clearly not good enough, then i'll be glad to see him go. I was panicking everytime we conceded a set piece, how has a weakness this obvious not been ironed out yet? Won't even mention us being unable to create clear cut chances.
Unfortunately, this is partly true with a lot of the ex-Utd players lapping it up after the 2 years of shite with Mourinho. There was a group of us, who were skeptical though and even when I look back at my comments during that initial run, I was still critical of the freespirited (i.e of micro coaching) approach to games.
At no point tonight with any impact did I think he would change the personnel or system to adapt to the low block wall we came up against. I knew his only hope was an individual spark from one of the front 5 to nick a goal. That’s not only shocking but very worrying. We’re stuck.

I find the Utd fanbase to be one of the least tactically astute fanbase of all the major clubs. There's this obession against "hipster" managers. I guess too many fans never had to think tactially since the days of Ferguson.
I'd second this. They still can't see that Ole-ball leads to nothing, in his 3rd season. It's fully reliant on individual quality.
Yes, he's a better manager than Arteta. And he should be baring in mind he's been managing for 10 years as opposed to just 18 months like the latter. And yet one has won a trophy for their respective club and the other bottles it everytime he comes close with some bewildering tactical decisions. Don't get me wrong, I don't want Arteta here or think he's even doing even close to a good job, but if being better than Arteta is now the bar for Manchester United manager, then we have some low fecking standards.
Man Utd as one of the biggest if not the biggest club in the world deserve a world class manager.

Unfortunately, this is partly true. Many Man Utd fans take finishing 2nd as progress regardless of the style of play. It's madness to think we can drop so far from SAF time.

If the style of play Ole (quite similar to Jose, LVG, Moyes - defensive/boring) implemented here in RM, Barca, BM he would be gone in no time. White handkerchief will be all over the stadium!

Need a new manager but will not happen. Ole has taken us as far as possible. But as long as he can finish top 4, he won't be sacked.

At least ours won’t take that long. And even so far under Ole, we haven’t reached embarrassment levels of that stature yet.

Its a poorly hidden secret that Ole does very little of the day to day coaching himself, but hes still responsible for picking his coaches. If he chooses to die on he Carrick/McKenna hill then so be it, but its a bit weird imo
Everyone struggles with low blocks, but we are especially bad at them. What is even worse is our complete inability to deal with balls into our own box.
