I really don't see this appointment being anything other than a total disaster to be honest. I really like Spurs and enjoy seeing them do well. However this is incredibly underwhelming and uninspiring, if I was a Tottenham fan I'd be gutted with this appointment personally.

Without a structured hierarchy above him, I really fear Paratici will bloat Spurs’ squad with a number of overpaid “market opportunities” a la Emre Can or Aaron Ramsey?

Paratici has signed some cracking players for peanuts. I know Spurs aren’t the same kind of draw and don’t pay crazy wages but he knows the market and seems to have an eye for a bargain/free transfer. I’m sure Levy wants to build a top 4 team as cheaply as possible but I wonder how long he’ll give him and how much money there will be given to reshape the club. The Managers linked all seem like poor choices who could easily be out of a job by Xmas if Kane leaves and things start off rocky. It’ll be an interesting watch anyway!
