Anyway - if the question is: "Should we get Pogba to sign a new contract at all costs?" my answer is: no, feck no.

Absolutely not at all costs. There are huge question marks over him. But that's about football - purely about football. It's not about his supposed attitude (or dancing, or how often he frequents his barber).

Fantastic Euros but remember when he won the world Cup 3 years ago? That should of been the catalist to Spur him on to become one of the greats, didn't happen. Can't see anything changing now. My own opinion is people who say Pogba regularly produces his France form (in tournaments) at United are talking out of their arse. (im not accusing you) Those comments started in earnest after the Swiss game where he produced one of his finest performances of his life. If Mbappe could of hit a barn door Pogba easily could of been the tournaments best player but I'd be wiling to bet a huge chunk of change that back at United we'd only see the real Pogba when he decides to turn up. Which isn't very often.

I don't think it's worth the hassle for him or the club to sign a 400+k contract. For that money we'd be expecting 8/10 performances every week with the odd 9 or 10 thrown in. As that isn't going to happen the level of abuse will just keep rising until it becomes unbearable for all involved. If PSG offered 50m+ this summer I think that would be the best deal for everyone especially as his fatfeck of an agent will be stirring the shit again once Pogba decides he needs a new challenge inside a year if he does sign a new contract and how United fans keep forgiving him time after time, after time is beyond me.

I would agree with you. Time for Pogba to show that he really wants to stay here, which means accepting roughly the same terms. Hopefully he does but if not, no big deal. Many better players have left the club

The only way I'd be happy would be if Pogba gets rid of his agent. Pogba is 28 now so signing a 5 year contract will take him up to retirement so why would he need him? Show commitment to the club and it would be great if he stayed but as long as fatfeck is around the 2 of them shouldn't be allowed to hold the club to ransom ever again and the only way for that to happened would be to cut ties altogether.

Do you actually believe there's no need for a player to have an agent because it may be his last contract?

That being said I hate raiola and I'd be completely okay if the club refuses to do business with his clients. I'm fine with what he does behind closed doors for his players and even how much he moves them (the players want this too) but what I'm not fine with is him openly trashing clubs his players play for for soundbites. Keep it to business

All of it! SAF indicates he completed a move to Juventus behind Utd's back - highly unprofessional, he also stated that he disrespected the club - Pogba disrespected the club, not his agent and that clearly indicates he thought he was bigger than the club.

No doubt when he returns from the Euros clutching his 'goal of the tournament award' and/or his 'goal celebration of the tournament award', he will be at it again. Just cut your losses and think of the benefit to the dressing room without his ego stinking out the place. If Mata deserves a new contract for being a decent bloke, this guy needs to be binned off, for being the total opposite of that.

A bit harsh that. All reports thus far seem to suggest that Pogba is loved by his teammates and is a real fun dude in the dressing room. Don't know what ego you're talking about that's stinking up the dressing room.

Knowing the history of Raiola and Pogba, they are planing to get one of the below:

1. Man Utd cave in and make him one of the best paid players in the world (not deserved)

Or (most likely scenario)

2. Run down the contract and get huge sign on bonus and pay rise at the next club likely RM, PSG or Juve

Or (Not likely)

3. RM, Juve or PSG fork out 80mil to sign him this summer and make him one of the best players in the world.

There is absolutely no desire to stay because he love to be playing for Man Utd. Raiola and Pogba are all about $$$ and more $$$
 
Just get this sorted one way or another,and quick cause if he does leave we need to find a replacement in that case.
 
Pogba's predicament seems to be somewhat similar to Varane. Wants pay hikes but not going to get easily given the financial hit to clubs from covid. He will likely shop around first and then see whether extending with United is his best option. Definitely clubs aren't queuing up for him given the cost involved.

Raiola will push for the contract to run out, it his best way to earn huge money. Pogba renewing his contract means Raiola will get feck all. I like Pogba and I want him to stay, but he must be sold instead of letting him leave free next season. If the offers is less than 60m. Then no, let him complete the season.

I actually dislike Pogba, he’s the only Man Utd player I don’t like. I do see glimpses of his ability though, you can’t deny that on his day he has special abilities but what an annoying pair him and his big mouth agent are. He’s under his 3rd Utd manager, yet he does it for France? That’s says he’s the problem not the managers. I hear but he plays with better players with France. It’s not a problem for Bruno, Ibrahimovic or Cavani who all showed/show their class in a Utd shirt. It’s a shame but his attitude/heart isn’t with Man Utd. I don’t know how we replace him but I hope we don’t pay £400k a week. There will be real resentment in the squad.

If De Bruyne can do it why can't Pogba? If Pogba signs a new mega deal with Raiola as his agent then basically the club deserves everything that's coming at them because shit will follow. 100%. No doubt. An agent free Pogba I'd have no problem keeping but with cnutface by his side absolutely no way.

I don't agree it's similar. Varane does want to stay at Madrid however Madrid ask him to have a pay cut, but pay Alaba £400k/week. While clearly Varane has done shit load for them but Alaba nothing yet. Is Alaba much better than Varane? I'd say they're at a similar level. It's not fair and disrespectful imo.

For us, we clearly want to extend with Pogba and offer him a big payrise despite the fact he's not deserved at all. What he has done for us in the last 5 years to deserve a £400k-£500k a week for the next 5 years? And even after that has he decided to commit his future with us? He, his fat prick agent and his brother even went as far as publicly stated he want to leave and trashed the club. It's definitely not fair and disrespectful but this time the other way around.

Fergie said a lot of things, usually whatever suited him at the time. Prior to this he also highlighted the importance of playing Pogba, otherwise he'd leave. They had two completely different views, it's hardly uncommon, about as uncommon as players wanting to leave and making arrangements, has nothing to do with thinking someone is bigger than the club.

As long as Pogba remains professional, and by all accounts he is, and doesn't go on a mini-strike ala Dembele to force an exit, it's not an issue. If not for Covid, we might have sold him last summer, but given the market situation it's not really an ideal scenario to sell him. If Ole is happy with him, i see no problems with Pogba leaving on a free.

We know what we've got, a player who is so inconsistent you don't know whether he'll be a 4/10 or 8/10 from game to game or even during the game whether he'll do something brilliant or brain dead.

Pretty sure both can be true. He wanted to stay at Madrid but if he left it would be PSG for him.

Pogba isn't extending his contract at this point. There's zero indication he wants it. He will either be sold this season or leaves on free next year. It's just a matter of when rather than if, and PSG makes perfect sense for him anyway

PSG was a recent rumour though. There was no deal lined up by February anyway. That was far too early!

Probably not a deal but since it actually happened quickly after he left Madrid I will guess he was putting them as his plan b if he couldn't renew with Madrid.

Agree, He doesnt deserve to get a contract like that for what he did in last 5 years for us.

If we get 50M on him we have many better options outside like Saul / Tilemans / Llorente / Locatelli
