You hit the nail on the head. With Pogba, every mistake is a flaw. You'd think Toni Kroos is a defensive genius compared to Pogba for example (and Pogba is far more creative), with the way people go about Pogba here. For me Pogba is a more consistent player than Bruno, but you'll never see some of the discussion we constantly get about Pogba for Bruno. Nor do I think we should, cause I think it is wrong. All midfielders, especially creative ones that take risks give the ball away but you would think Pogba does it far more than most.

Pogba's experience at Juventus was immense. He was able to punch his way into that midfield at record time which is extraordinary considering that they had Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal there. Pogba shocked the system so much that at one point Marchisio (who was taunted to become Juve captain back then) toyed with the idea of leaving the club. That's how good Pogba was. However even back then some teething problems popped up. Conte tried to change his play and failed. Allegri tried to do the same and failed as well. That was not a problem for Juventus because Pogba was simply too good in what he did. Which is why both managers had warned United not to try to reinvent the wheel with the guy, something that we keep on doing till this very day.

Unfortunately that's a problem for us. We've been blessed (or rather spoiled) with top midfielders who had done their outmost to succeed at United. That included changing their game and sometimes their role as well. Paul Scholes started his United's career as a striker. He ended his career as a deep lying playmaker. Keane was an attacking minded midfielder but was switched into a defensive midfielder while Carrick came as a B2B player only to become a Deep lying midfielder. I can name other 'lesser' players like for example Fletcher who spent some time playing as RW for god know why or Phil Neville who was plugged out of defence and thrown as a DM at one point. Irrespective of that, United has a very low tolerance to BS in terms of midfielders. Top quality midfielders are expected to immediately do well and just switch their game with little to no disruption. Those who somehow rebel to that were rejected rather brutally. JSV, Veron and even Ince who was kicked to Inter the moment he decided that he wanted to play in a more advanced role.

United had been unusually patient with Pogba but will not back down on what they expect out of a top midfielder. Meanwhile Pogba refuse to change his style of game no matter whose the manager (Conte, Mourinho, Allegri, Ole etc). Mino's 'contribution' doesn't help either. If you ask me that's the recipe of a partnership that was set to fail. Its like partnering Scholes with Kim Kardashian, Marcus Rashford with Katie Hopkins or Nancy Pelosi with Donald Trump. It ain't going to work.

So I'd say lets cut the losses and move forward.

I would say he is more injury prone than people think he is. There was a discussion that his love for Basketball is causing injury but I can't find the article where I read it.

If we had Pogba fit throughout the season maybe we would have been much closer to City than we were. I am sure Pogba will excel at whatever club he goes and if it is PSG, he will medals there. Football is a team game and we just didn't have a team which was good enough to win titles.

So he is basically no different from the people you see in every organization. Supremely talented people who realize they are good at what they do and are initially motivated to be the best. But when they realize the sacrifice it takes to be the best, and coupled with the leeway their talent gives them, settle for a comfortable life, doing what is required of them, but never going beyond to what is expected of them.

You honestly believe the bolded? Have you watched him play for us in the last 5 years? He is one of the most inconsistent players I've ever seen. Brilliant one game and appalling the next.

Problem with Pogba is he is not even consistent over 90 mins let alone game to game. Nothing to do with hair, jewelry etc. He flits in and out of games, one great pass or piece of skill will mask a game he was poor in. It frustrates people because the talent is there. We had a similiar issue with Januzaj a few seasons back, when he was on form it was effortless, but when he couldn't be arsed he was woeful. Pogba has talent, no-one doubts that, but his application is poor. People reference the antics of his agent, Pogba himself previously openly spoke about his dream to play for Real and with Zidane. That's infuriating to us fans, our supposedly top player openly saying that. Bruno has been criticised towards the end of last season by us, but that was due to him being overplayed. You see his desire, you compare it to Pogba, it's night and day. Pogba has more natural talent than Bruno, but I know which one I'd put my faith in, and it's nothing to do with skin colour or tattoos.

When Pogba's goals and assists from a 10 match up to Bruno, you can come back to me. For example Bruno walked in from the Portugese league, played half a season and got a better goal tally than Pogba has in any given season. Of course this is not about goals solely but you're the one that is seemingly claiming Pogba's scoring to be comparable to that of Bruno's, which is hilarious. You’re wasting you’re time here mate. The reason people don’t like Pogba is nothing to do with what he does on the pitch. It never has been. People see what they want to see, Pogba’s many good games will be ignored but as soon as he has a bad game they’ll point to that for confirmation bias.

Pogba is a player who shines when the team is playing well. But he isn't talismanic and he is a liability anywhere near his own goal.
