I hope they chucked this attention seeking wanker out.

Damn that was unnecessary. We have a such fecking weird fanbase sometimes.
From all accounts the guy just sat there laughing after he did it. Doubt he was a Chelsea fan.

He probably was, to be honest. I think his twitter account was found, but it's what happens when accounts like @manlikekova and @jorgitekkers who run agendas against our own players all day manage get tickets to something like this.

I don't consider those guys fans.

I wonder what they get from playing a high strength side again a team like Weymouth? Probably fitness more than anything else?

That's great mate. Well done. I assume in your industry it's about continuing to put the work it, seek out opportunities and network where you can. It will come.
This is an interview with our captain on 5live last night.

@duffer @P-Ro I have a new admiration for Chelsea to be honest.

Superb news.

I suppose that means we're no longer interested in Kounde. I'm really happy with that. Tuchel is going to end being my favourite ever manager if he keeps this up.

Moving away from Kounde by trusting a youth product also means we can go all in on securing Tchouameni. Doubt we would have gone after an expensive midfielder too if we spent big on Kounde.

Wouldn't be surprised if we still brought in Kounde. Zouma is leaving so that leaves us Silva, Rudiger, Christensen and now Chalobah. Given that we generally play 3 CBs, Silva can only be played sparingly and we have a LOT of games this season, it doesn't seem crazy bringing in a strong young 5th. Sure we often use Azpi or occasionally James at RCB currently but Kounde would be a much stronger option.

Unbelievable depth from Chelsea. Having someone replace a possible 80m euro transfer, with someone from the academy. Good for them. Is their academy the best in the world?

He's going to be very expensive. It's why that deal has stagnated so far. We seem to not want to pay the amount Sevilla are asking for. Trev is a perfect replacement. Zouma doesn't seem to be in a rush to go anywhere, so he's going to be difficult to shift. I'm happy to forget about Kounde and focus on trying to get 4th midfielder.

Really not into this financial stuff but didn't Chelsea make a lot of money from selling players? Roundabout the amount they paid for Lukaku I think. There should have been also some additional funds by winning the CL too. I think if they want too they could get both - although I'm aware they spend big last summer already.

The bigger question for me is how TT keeps the locker room intact if he's got THAT many players that could all be starters...I'm quite sure there is almost no better manager to manage rotation than TT but still. I too believe that Zouma would leave if a good opportunity arises - I dig the guy but I question a bit his potential within TT system. With Azpi aging, Thiago likely in his last professional year and both Christensen and Rüdiger in their last year of contract it's not that easy actually. I mean, could be all kinds of worse and I'm pretty confident already and agree that a 4th mid would be of higher importance because despite our super depth we really need a 4th mid.

edit: I guess a possible scenario could be Chelsea securing the important midfield back-up, hopefully Tchouameni, and then could gamble wether Sevilla goes down to say 65-70m at one point with some add-on dodgy bonus system or else.

edit II: the bigger picture would be that ideally the defenders at hand could be equally fielded within a back 4 and back 5 without losing quality to make way for much needed flexibility in the future. Not sure our players now are fit to do that. Trev is the wildcard obviously but lacks serious experience to be considered a solid long term solution (yet). Koundé certainly can play that role within both formations so there is that. Almost all of our current defenders (CBs) kinda lack that bar maybe Christensen and of course Silva (who is only a short term solution anyway).

Best Chelsea defender for FPL lads?

Probably Rudiger all things considered - he seems an ironman and our depth at LCB specifically seems a bit thin. Reckon he's likely to play consistently the most so probably gives you the highest floor, and on top of that his range of passing is actually excellent and he's a reasonable if not great threat on set pieces.

That and you get no shithouse actions out of Rudiger. He is all business and uber respect for the other team.

*I almost cramped writing that*

Didn't see this earlier. Good to hear that they had a decent experience. I remember seeing this pic a few days ago thinking that it was nice touch, despite not really knowing what was said ect.

Shades of Klopp here, now he just needs an annoying laugh and the fake mateyness

Thought I read somewhere that Chelsea won’t be allowing Ampadu to go out on loan. If he stays, that’ll be another CB at the club. We also have Sarr as another option at the moment at CB.

This Chelsea is being overrated I must say. They barely have goals in their team aside Lukaku and perhaps Werner.
How are they being expected to be better challengers than us?

Tuchel

We finished last year after Tuchel arrived with the 2nd most wins after City. You can discount the team if you like, but there is a reason we are rated highly. With the top 4 teams I think it is going to come down to key injuries to determine the order of 1-4.

Over rating and under rating a team just perception mate. People obviously overrate a bit current champions league holders. Nothing to discuss about it.

I spoke to our manager yesterday and asked what was said. I have to be fair, Tuchel was class with our lads. Fair play to him.

I listened to the radio interview with the captain. He was asked if any Chelsea players were trash talking in the game? He said they were really focused on what they were doing and were very respectful and nice after the game. It sounds like both teams really benefited from the friendly.

Putting us to shame.

Deeper squad and better manager?

Chelsea aren't perfect as goals are an issue with them, personally I don't rate Lukaku whatsoever and I think spending €110m on him plus €500k a week wages on him is nuts, however they have three things going for them:

1) Excellent manager
2) Deep squad with good quality
3) Excellent defensive structure

In addition to this, by and large, they brought well last Summer and those players now have a year under their belt.

Personally, I do not see them winning the league, but I do expect them to be a close 2nd or 3rd.

Lukaku is at £325k a week with performance bonus that can take him to £425k

I really dont see it honestly.
Manager is alright, Dimatteo also won the UCL and turned out crap. Tuchel's history before now has largely been average considering he was in charge of that PSG squad.

With regards to depth, how many genuine creative players are their in that team? I'm not really that convinced but we will have to wait and see.

Each to their own, but I doubt you’d find many fans outside United fans who would take Ole over Tuchel, or your squad over Chelse’s.

Looks like Sarr is off to Bologna on loan. I do hope we keep Ampedu as I'm a big fan, especially in DM, but I heard something about a PL loan for him, maybe Newcastle.
