Premier League Matchday 7

points for chelsea... doesn't sound as if they were even close to their best but still winning late on

Well, at least it won't be 9-0. Given that we've had one of those in each of the last 2 seasons, guess it won't be a surprise or a novelty if it happens this season.

Bizarre sequence of play. What a volley by Chilwell.

Which shot crossed the line?
Two came off the post, it must have been Chilwell but it didn’t look like it at all. Would love to see another angle.

I haven't not sure I like football that much anymore. Don't really see the point of the club at the moment. If there's no chance of being able to compete for anything, then what's the point? Comes from the owner who is really really poor.

Im baffled at what’s happened to the Saints it feels like Hassenhutl has been hung out to dry, where’s the investment?

Goal line tech is the best change in football since getting rid of backpasses.

Chilly deserved a goal, MOTM for me.

Old owner sold it to some dodgy "businessman" from China who hasn't put a penny in. Nor did the old owner, save for money charged at 5% interest that has all been repaid. We have to play with what we have. Sell anything, and then buy cheap & young. If that's the idea, then we might as well take a step down a division and cut our cloth there. The chairman came out and said we weren't competing with the likes of villa or Everton, but with Burnley and Palace. TBH, I'm not sure we're even competing with Palace.

Oh wow, that’s very disheartening to hear. It’s such a shame because you have a good coach probably best since Poch and he really hasn’t been backed. Hopefully you will stay up the PL need teams like the Saints you guys always try and play the right way.

Is it okay to adopt Brighton as a second team for the rest of the season. Give us something else to focus on when United are total turd? Asking for a friend

Have been on the Brighton train a few seasons now and think they're a decent watch. Can be a bit frustrating at times but it has been fun seeing them improve.

Tuchel is some manager getting an assist from Ross Barkley. Guy was useless for us after 3-4 decent games.

Been surprised he's been involved for Chelsea this season as sure I read he didn't even get a squad number/registered in their squad a few weeks back but appears not and now he's regular in matchday 20.

Same team for Arsenal (apart from Xhaka out, replaced by Lokonga), let's hope we can get another win before the international break and that the Spurs game wasn't pure luck.
1-3 Auba x2, Lacazette late on.

Arsenal can go 2 points behind United with a win here

and Brighton can go 2 points above United with a win here
