I really should grow up but I can't not uphold the double-standard. If a 17 year-old female pizza delivery worker was propositioned on the doorstep by two 25 men we'd be calling for their bollocks, but the other way round feels far less serious and the vast majority of people act like the cops in that South Park ep when they read such a story. Power imbalances, both physical and historical, must play a role in this and I for one find it hard to shake off, but the lad has every right to feel society needs to grow up and treat him like a victim in this case and not just take the piss.
In situations like these there's also good reason to suspect some hidden camera stuff. Either to humiliate by rejecting him once inside, or that he'd end up in a porn movie against his will.

Yeah for sure, and in that case again it comes down to whether flipping the sexes of the people involved is a fair way to approach the situation. If a hidden camera show had 25 year old male actors propositioning a real-life 17 yo delivery girl the programme makers would get fecking destroyed, and rightly so, but hot 25 yo female models doing the same to a lad in his late teens seems less serious, and therefore more acceptable. Thinking about it for a second tells me this can't be right but instinctively I know there is a difference in seriousness between the two situations.
There is an obvious difference though. The physical threat is much greater in the scenario where the girls is propositioned by two blokes. You also can’t ignore that sexual violence from men towards women is many many times more common than the reverse. So the girl would be a hell of a lot more likely to end up in a seriously nasty situation than the boy.

Yeah there clearly is a difference, but are 17 yo lads fair game in these kind of situations? Is it acceptable to laugh off their claims of discomfort or even deeper trauma with 'mate, I'd have given my eye teeth to be in that situation at 17, lucky bastard' etc.? The difficulty is some lads would certainly rise to such an occasion, so to speak, and as we've agreed there is a clear difference depending on which sex is doing what, but that doesn't help the poor lads who do genuinely feel violated being made figures of fun rather than being treated as victims.
In conclusion; yes it's less serious when the 'mark' is a boy rather than the reverse, but it's a shame that male claims of sexual assault/trauma are taken so much less seriously than those of females (though again there are obvious reasons why this is and indeed maybe has to be the case). I suppose one thing that would easily improve the situation is if everyone saved their lewd proposals for people who are 18+ (sorry Ike).

I suspect these women have somehow bought into the notion that all men want to have sex with them at all times in any situation, because that's what happens in porn.

Some crazy shit but all predictable from the strands of people most susceptible to these types of theories. You got the crazy religious right (who don't read books and "channel" the Voice of God), the disenchanted poor/rural white males who blame everything on "antifa" and BLM (including Jan. 6), the more well-to-do white people who made money without ever having to learn how to critically think or challenge ideas that go against their belief system (the bodybuilder), and the young people who just want to be part of something a little edgy and a little out of the mainstream because it makes them feel clued in and cool (girl with NY accent).
This cross-section will take some time (decade or two) to truly wither and die out, or it could actually morph into a new alternative religion as some fear.
Oh and I love the new theories that Prince and Kobe Bryant were assassinated because they had dirt on the Clintons.

Now I watched the Dave Chappelle special a couple of days ago and I just don't get this. He mentions how he hates the members of the LGBTQ+ community that militantly go to condemn anyone who says anything at all that is offensive, NOT that he hates the entire group! His story about Daphne should clearly be evidence of this I would have thought - that once he engaged and saw the reality of the human experience that was going on, his eyes were opened to the struggle.
