Harry Kane | "I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success."

"Daniel Levy? My client would like to join Manchester City pl....no?" "Ok sorry for bothering you"

I still think he'd be a cracking player at City or anywhere that's a decent side.

He's never looked brilliant for England so I'm not overly concerned about that, and it's clear he's not really up for it at Spurs. He's bound to look a bit ponderous as he's never been an explosive player and he's playing in a poor side for which he isn't motivated.

Would be a different ballgame at a top side.

Injuries has caught up with him. The euros was a huge red flag but no-one want to mention it since he got a few goals against tin-pot nations and masked over his overall performance.

Not saying he's finished totally but he could be on the decline physically

City won't return for him as they will now surely wait for Haland in the summer.

So reality is he's stuck at Spurs, will he sulk out the rest of his career.

Newcastle will probably offer a couple of BILLION for him.

Denmark and Germany are tin pot nations!?

Denmark and Germany are tin pot nations!?

The Germany game he didn't kick the ball until he scored near the end and the Denmark game he scored a penalty in extra time he didn't exactly star in either game now to be fair

Spurs shouldve sold him in the summer. He's dragging the team down.

These performances aren't just due to him downing tools. He played like this for England in the Euros and qualifiers this season. He is in terrible form and declining. City will never come back in for him playing like he is. Levy fecked the club by not selling him.

Levy let his ego get in the way of making the proper decision of selling Kane to City. He screwed his team out of the funds that could sign them a few good players for the next few seasons.

I always feared this is what happens to a player who is denied of a dream move. I think he's still a very good player although just in very poor form which naturally will translate on international games.

End thread on something so stupid? Barely 5 months ago he won the PL golden boot with a shitty Spurs team.
Spurs are in horrendous form, and hired a poor manager.
That was a statement made under my very one sided biased observation of out forwards like rooney rvp and Sanchez. They fell off the sudden cliffs and never seem to recover. Remember torres? He is very similiar to them. Yea the system isn't good but the odd flashes brilliances also missing nowadays. I think he is done. Hope so, else city will be a nightmare.

Kane is just 28, the others were in their 30’s.

He’s not happy, his team is shit, his manager is shit, and he doesn’t want to be there, all this has caused a period of poor form, but to suggest a guy who scored 23 PL goals just last season is finished at 28 is premature to say the least.

Yeah only the world cup semi final, European championship final, joint most tournament goals and generally smashes every underdog he plays (which isn't as easy as people seem to make out - Shearer couldn't.). He's been Englands best player for a long time now.

But agree he's not explosive in the way Ronaldo or Messi or Neymar or whoever is - incidentally, Ronaldo showed exactly the difference between them yesterday, goals out of absolutely nothing. But Kane would score a feckton of goals for Man City, Chelsea, or even ourselves (depending on your personal threshold for "feckton" I suppose, lol)

Rooney's last great season was 13/14. He started his decline at 27 and fell away badly from 29.
Sanchez last great season was 16/17. He had his massive decline at 28.
Torres last great season was 09/10. He fell of a cliff at 26. Rebuilt a bit to have a couple of decent seasons on-and-off for Chelsea and Atletico after that but he was obviously nowhere near the player he once was.
RVP's last great season was 12/13. His decline started at 30.

I'm not saying Kane is definitely starting his decline now, but he'd hardly be the first one.

Same old story, there’s no point keeping a player who doesn’t want to be there. Made even worse as Kane had (stupidly) already said his goodbyes.

He‘s not injured and definitely not ‘washed up’. He’s 28 and should be in the prime of his career. Question being, if as seems he’s purposely playing crap to try and force a move?

Catch 22, play well and Levy won’t want sell him, play crap nobody will want him.

Levy has pissed on chips .…and his own.

Yeah, City won't go back for him. Even if Kane's price dropped to 60-70M incl add-ons he's still gonna ask for 350-400K p/w and contract until 2026 and right now he's not worth it.

His strength is his finishing ability and the main thing is he's not getting chances. I doubt he's lost that. His all round game is overrated.

Take an edge off because he doesn't want to be there along with physical decline and this is what you get.

He just needs a change of scenery, but I'm not sure anyone will be willing to pay what Levy wants.

He was absolute turd in the Euros too.

Kane is still a top player. Yes, injuries have had an impact, and he has lost quite a bit of energy over the last season or so... but, he may just need a summer off, injury free perhaps?

As a forward, he is still technically top quality, he is still scoring a few for an awful team. He would score a bagful at City. Daniel Levy needs to shoulder a lot of the responsibility for this. His arrogance is having a hugely detrimental impact on the club.. and he seems to have little regard for the fans, who deserve better.

I no longer really judge players by England performances.. most England games are against quite poor opposition, and we tend to struggle against the better sides.

Many teams in Europe will pay good money for Harry Kane. Get some players with drive and vibrancy around him, and he will score goals.

He wasn't England's best player at the Euros that's for sure. He stank out the place for most of the tourney.

I agree with others I think he is at the start of a decline. I'm not a massive fan of him and think he is overrated. The problems started when he started dropping deep and playmaking and forgetting his position. It worked well for a bit and he had a great understanding with Son but his mobility seems to have seriously dropped and his instinct for goal is blunted.

He's always rubbish in the big moments/finals etc. He is lucky that the Denmark pen rebounded favourably otherwise that would have been another bottlejob in a game that mattered. I've said it loads of times before but that's one of two things that has always been a 'stain' on his career for me, his lack of goals and best performances in the final bit of a tournament and his lack of trophies.

His passing and crossing are quality, not overrated.
His form is shocking though, albeit the entire team looks shite.

If you command a price tag of £150 million, I don't find it completely unreasonable to expect the player to provide some good individual moments, even if he's swimming in a sea of shit.

Maybe it's just me, but Kane was one of the few players actually trying to do anything Vs Italy, and I felt personally spurs were the better team in the CL final against Liverpool and were hard done by by in my opinion an extremely harsh penalty. Obviously just my opinion, I won't die on that hill as that's not the way things worked out and unfortunately the way things turned out meant that people can still use his lack of trophies against him.

But he usually has like 2-3 chances against the likes of City or Liverpool all game and scores 2-3 goals. That doesn't come across to me as a bottler - he's a ruthless goalscorer. Maybe teams are worse / make less chances with him in it, but his mentality has always seemed fine to me UP UNTIL THIS SEASON, and I think it's obvious why.
