The first 11 is weaker than Liverpool and City by a distance. It’s weaker than an on form Utd too.
Where do they go from here to stop the rot? John Terry I guess?
It's highly subjective.
I disagree entirely, I think Chelsea's squad has quality throughout, especially the midfield, where Tuchel has options galore.
Chelsea squad is better but Liverpool's first 11 is easily better than Chelsea's and arguably the best in the league.
Options but very few actual world-class players. They have good depth and a massive squad but lack real game-changers in comparison to the other top three.
Their first team is below Liverpool and City's, but its full of players who preform well due to good coaching and a mechanical approach to the game.

No-one can really argue with this. We have more good to very good players in the squad but none of the quality of Salah, who, on his own, is better than a couple of our attacking players combined.
It's a pretty pricey attack, though.
Lukaku - £97.5m
Havertz - £70m
Pulisic - £57m
Werner - £42m
Ziyech - £37m
Are they just collectively not that great, or do Tuchel's tactics make it more difficult for attackers? Last season their top scorer was Jorginho on 7 goals. This season it's currently Mount on 7 (with Jorginho one behind).
It is but none of those players would start for Liverpool or City with the possible exception of Havertz. And he seems very hot and cold. I’m not even sure many of them would start for United. Or Spurs.
Lukaku would start for City I reckon, despite his flaws they need someone to put the ball in the net.
Havertz (and maybe Ziyech) is probably the only one who has remained even remotely healthy from that bunch.
Were they all injured last season too?

Chelsea had 5 players in the top 30 Balon Dor contenders for example, now I don't really take much credibility in the player of the year awards personally, but just shows that subjectively Chelsea had 5 players voted as in the best 30 for the year, Liverpool I think had one.
If it goes belly up RR should offer him a position on the coaching staff

Yeh that's exactly it for me. Having said that Tuchel has done a great job of drilling those good and very good players into a strong team.
I think Rangnick would happily move up and offer Tuchel the manager role.
I mean even the Chelsea fans are agreeing in here. Chelsea objectively does not have a player on the level of Salah or De Bruyne. Ronaldo too really.

I am making a point here that 5 Chelsea players got voted into the best 30 players of the year, only one Liverpool player did. Shows a) how subjective a players ability is, and b) that Chelsea obviously had some form players this year, be that for Country, Club or both,
Its a case of he says/she says really, I believe Chelsea have the second best squad in the league, you believe they don't, nether of us is wrong or right, those are just our thoughts on the subject, likewise the fact 5 Chelsea players inhabit the top 30 Balon Dor contenders is down to a selection of Journalists views.

No, but there was a different context to last season. The team was a mess under Lampard, and Tuchel provided some structure with a clear goal of securing top 4. I'm not saying they would all bang in 15 goals each if they were fit but Tuchel hasn't really had a chance to build anything consistent with any of the attackers because none of them have been available for any consistent amount of time.
Mount, for example, now enjoying a consistent run of games after his return to fitness has scored 7 in 14 league games (9 starts). I'd expect something in that ballpark from at least one other attacker (Havertz) if they played every week and of course Lukaku.

That list kind of speaks for itself, doesn't it? There's not one name on there, who belongs in the "elite" category.
There's been phone books worth of posts on Lukaku's short comings on the caf, Havertz may eventually get there, but at the moment he is a follower and not a leader on the pitch. Pulisic and Werner were just stupid, overpriced, buys and Ziyech was a bit of a gamble that didn't pay off.
He is talented, but yeah he hasn't really shown anything even remotely close to anything in the ballpark of consistency.

CL win skews data. Jorginho, Kante are deserved. Cesar Azpilicueta, Mason Mount, Simon Kjaer, Foden, Gerard Moreno made the list. they are not the best 30 players in the world in anyones estimation. Who was the 5th Chelsea lad.

That was my point.
It was a discussion about Chelsea's depth of squad, to which I stated it was subjective.
The fact that who's better than who or whose the best in the world etc is highly subjective, everyone has their own opinions on it.
They have weaknesses for sure but no team has ever been crowned champions in December. City and Liverpool have the edge - experience being a key factor - but I wouldn't write Chelsea off just yet. If Tuchel can stop the slide, they will be there or thereabouts.
I don't see any panic with the fan base. If Tuchel had a December slump and feel out of top 4, well we all know Roman has an itchy trigger finger. We will see.
Probably replace him with Hag.

And who are these world class players and game changers at Liverpool? Oxlade Chamberlain, Henderson, Origi, Milner?
Liverpool’s squad can’t compare with Chelsea’s at all. It’s Kloop working wonders over there.
I mean when Salah or Mane gets hurts it’s Origi who replaces them as as TAA, whom Milner replaces when he’s out.

Why are you focussing on Liverpool's fringe players? The argument is that Liverpool has a stronger first 11 with more world-class, game changing players which Chelsea doesn't have. I've put in my post I think Chelsea have superior depth but personally I think that only gets you so far. Mane, Fabinho, Salah, VVD, TAA, Roberston, Thiago, are all better than their counterparts in the first 11. I'd say it's a bigger credit to Tuchel that he made people think they could compete with City and Pool.
