"He'll get bored soon and bugger off then Chelsea will be screwed"

People still throwing that comment about, 20 yrs and counting.... no chance Roman is going anywhere soon.

Chelsea are going to end up with some kind of record surely, for games played. They’ve played 40 this season (Utd are on 33 for comparison) and they’re still in all competitions. They could easily play something like 70 games if they go deep in the FA and CL
Strangely enough I think we actually hold the record (69 in 12/13). The maximum that season for us was 73, all that was missing for the set was getting to the domestic cup finals and two replays

I think the lack of FA Cup replays and less games in Europe (already a given due to not being in Europa this time round) may stop us reaching that number or higher even if we get to all the finals but I could be wrong.

What do the Chelsea fans think will happen with Broja? Will he be integrated back in the team, or will he be sacrificed to help with th enext big spend this summer? I seen we were credited with an interest yesterday, but just seems a long shot.

Always hard to tell our plans for youth players. Don’t think anyone expected Chalobah to be in the squad this season for example. Think Tuchel likes him and our forwards have been garbage so he has every chance of staying but we have said that so many times before.

It starts and ends with Lukaku. If Chelsea's plan is to stick with him and continue starting him next season, then I don't see Broja being willing to hang around and it would mean Chelsea won't be able to give him any assurances about a pathway into the team. At the moment my gut is telling he'll be sold on the cheap with a reasonable buy back clause.

Champions of the world my arse. If you havent beaten Kawasaki Frontale away you cannot be champions of the world. Stop making yourself look special like The Rock assuming himself to be the people's champion but when I went to Shang Hai they didnt even know who The Rock was and theyre part of the people too.

Sold with a buyback, although id love to see him in the squad next year. I mean, to be fair aswell, if Soton offered 25-30m, it'd be hard to refuse for someone who has only 30-40 premier league games under his belt.

If the pathway is not guaranteed, you have to let them go. Plus, all being said and done, i think Broja would like to join Soton. People complained that Livramento was sold, he wanted to go. Lamptey wanted to go, too. It's not always the clubs choice...

Craig Burley. What a bitter fella. All because he got dropped in 97, and he wasn't much cop anyway tbf. My memory of him will always be his missing front teeth, and the utterly ridiculous backpass at Villa Park v Utd.

I'm not a fan of the club world cup at all - i think it is a nonsense - , but of course it was nice to win it, however; i find it weird how ESPN's lot were much more in favour of it when Lpool and Bayern won it.... now its "plastic"

Do you think if he was to leave, he would get blocked from moving to Arsenal? I know we were interested in Tammy last summer and it was reported you really wanted him to go abroad, but I don't think you actually blocked it, I just think we couldn't find a buyer for Lacazette &/or Aubameyang so couldn't actually make an offer.

Lamptey and Livramento forced the club's hand due to approaching the end of their contract, not an issue with Broja.

Ideally we'd ship Lukaku out to the next stupid club to facilitate Broja's integration next season. Given his contract situation though, I think we miiiight just be able to get away with loaning him out again.

I seem to remember that he did the same thing the next game. I said at the time that we would get rid of him.

Didn't take Chelsea fans long to realise Lukaku is not the player he seems. Alot of United fans when he left United and saw his stats also said we were wrong to sell him.

He is very good at putting up goal scoring numbers, unfortunately, his all round game has still not improved and he is not the player everyone seems to think he is.

Our best hopes are PSG panicking and wanting a stat padder to fill Mbappe's boots or Simeone deciding on him for his annual flop striker signing.

Although he'll score the goals to largely make up for it I can't help but feel Haaland will be a stylisitical mismatch aswell.

I can't see Messi and Neymar wanting to play alongside Lukaku and I have to imagine they have effective veto power.

Simeone might be foolish enough to do it. They get Suarez's salary off the books this summer. Cunha has started to get some starts in the past month and scored a few goals for them so a lot might depend on how well he takes his chance this spring.

i reckon he is off to madrid anyway, Haaland. I cant foresee him in the premier league for a long long time yet, if ever

PSG never spends that much on 28+ Year-old players. They only for players that age when the fee gets extremely low.

Broja situation is quite different from both Lamptey and Livarmento. Broja just signed a 5yrs contract unlike the other who were in the last yr of their contract.

wonder if chelsea will manage to sucker someone into giving them most of their money back like we did?

He’ll definitely be back in inter next season

not sure how much chelsea gave upfront for him but i don’t imagine inter would want to do much more than take him off chelsea’s hands for whatever they are still owed for him.

fair play to chelsea though. they saw all those “morata v lukaku who got the best deal?” threads and thought “we’ll fecking waste a ton of money on both the useless wankers. that’ll show ‘em.”

You’d imagine with the size of the deal there would be payments made over 3 to 5 years so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go back to Inter in the summer for anything between £20m-£30m.

It’s crazy how much they’ve spent on strikers over the years and barely got it right with the exception of Drogba

I really don't see the WC manager that Tuchel is supposed to be. We are crap and still in touching distance to Chelsea. A half decent season and we would have been comfortable above them.

You cant use hypothesis like that, because its like saying if we hadnt dropped the points we did,we'd be comfortably further ahead, too.

Tuchel, WC? Some would say yes, others no. But absolutely top level

He took a crap team from mid table to top 4 and winning the Champions League in less than one season. He’s obviously not Klopp or Guardiola level but he can’t do much more to prove himself.

Ziyech has really stepped up in recent months. Been our best attacker by a mile.
