Is there a club with fans like ours who dislike/hate ex players and legends so much? It's embarrassing at times some of the stick the likes of him, Keane, Rio, Scholes, Rooney etc get.

We're just in the uncomfortable position of having so many clueless ex players with voices in the media (Neville, Keane, Evra, Rio, Scholes, Hargreaves, Savage, Michael Owen etc) at the same time as having a criminally dysfunctional club with a genuinely clueless board.

IMO all ex-United players to me feel like they don't want the club to succeed or get the absolute best people in. Remember Gary was bigging up Ole until the very end then suddenly changed his tune.

The main thing I dislike about Neville is his commentary, especially when he calls an incident, sees a replay clearly at odds with his initial opinion yet he refuses to admit he might be wrong. Seen it a few times and I find it infuriating, especially when it's United on the receiving end.

Hard to work Gary out at times.
He wanks over pep and klopp every week, fair enough their teams are the best about. He is always talking about Philosophy, and what them managers teams bring to the table.
We are linked with a manager who seems to have a mix of both on the pitch and off it, believes in his philosophy, something that Gary likes to mention all the times, but sticks out a big vocal statement that Poch is his man, who to be honest is nothing like klopp or pep, in any way.
Why even comment. He is already setting his stall out.

Nobody's going to agree with everything Neville says. He's outspoken and sometimes inconsistent in his opinions. Almost like a real human being!

Most of the fans don't agree with Neville's choice of Poch. But suggesting Poch over Ten Hag isn't a ridiculous argument which warrants him to be bashed on social media.
Most likely if Ten Hag is appointed and goes through tough period which is expected, he will use this to slag off the board on how they messed up by not hiring Poch.
Yes. But if Ten Hag doesn't succeed, so will a lot of fans. And it could be that Poch over Ten Hag may be the better footballing decision. Even I prefer Ten Hag over Poch at this point, but by no means is it a clear cut and obvious decision.

The Simeone one is abit bizarre. I can understand that viewpoint with Keane and maybe Scholes who have this idea that managers should run their teams/squads with a iron fist, though I think Simeone is abit more nuanced than that.

On this page I've seen one person claiming that Neville's support for Poch has been concocted to allow him to criticise the appointment of Ten Haag and another claiming that ex-players actively want United to be shit to further their own media careers.

It's bizarre, they're either absolutely clueless imo or literally don't want to see the club be successful. I remember a rumour about how legends don't want Utd to challenge for/win big titles as it cements their legacy. In reality, it helps them push their personal brand too, so makes sense.

Agree with all of this. Nearly all other pundits are way too safe. They hold back criticism because they don’t want to ruin their ties with their club, upset relationships etc. I love that Neville gives it to the Glazers and doesn’t let them get away with anything, he’s a true pundit and really represents a typical fan.

Neville is full of shit here. I don't understand this obsession people have with how and where players spend their personal time. If I have a bad day at work, I don't blank my friends and family for 3 days. Rashford jetting to Dubai for a couple of days to watch boxing after a loss is the equivalent of me driving down to London to watch Chelsea and spend time with friends after a bad day at work, except I don't have fans, ex players and journalists snooping around my social media itching to give me a telling off for not being miserable.

He gets far too much hate. Suppose fans can ignore him if he winds them up with his opinions. He's still a lot better than most pundits despite being opinionated, but he's passionate and clearly wants United back to winning ways. I like the way he's pressurised the Glazers, especially for a new Old Trafford - not that it makes a difference but it's a fan's voice in the media.

His opinion on wanting Poch over Ten Hag is fair enough, we won’t know who was right or wrong until we hire one of them and see how they do. I think I’d prefer the latter, but he’s far from a guarantee.
