Can't wait to Amadeus to tell us best team in Europe and play best football and Poch total winner

He's better off at a mid-table club, really....he seems completely out of his depth at the clubs with huge media exposure. United would have eaten him up and spit him out within a season and a half as well. Not that I'm sure ETH will do better, but at least he hasn't been exposed like that yet.
I agree, poch to this version of United would have ended in a bitter way. No doubt we would have done well here and there but ultimately we would have looked a team just to fight for 4th spot playing pragmatic football. Eth is a risk but a risk worth taking. If the risk works then the reward will be much bigger and better than Poch.

I would really like to see PSG go through the same sort of misery that United had gone recently so they're almost forced to concede control to someone else than NAK and Leonardo, but the league is too weak financially to really punish PSG consistently because any team that mounts an actual challenge gets picked apart by the other leagues immediately. It would take losing the league consecutively for anything like that to happen, which is hard to see right now.

If United really sticks with giving ETH full control, then at least the blame falls solely on him but he will have a team in his image. PSG, and really any club out there, needs that but PSG specifically because their money is both their greatest asset and worst enemy as it gets them to make bad choices sometimes in the interest of a commercial success over a sporting one which I'm sure doesn't sound too unfamiliar with how things have been at United as well recently.

Isn't it clear by now that Zidane isn't interested?

I don't know, haven't been following his daily news. Would've thought he'd been obvious pick with his CL record.

PSG feels a bit of a poisoned chalice now with the constant CL failures and Mbappe going and Neymar, Ramos and Messi in last payday mode so can't really create much in next year or two so wouldn't say any obvious elite coaches would be that desperate.

Perhaps they'll go for a proven ligue un coach like Christophe Galtier? Would Vieira take it if approached?

They Neymar hype has always baffled me. He has moments of individual brilliance but is a detriment to his team in regards to his attitude and selfishness and this always reveals itself in high pressured knockout games. He reminds me a lot of Pogba actually, put him in a stacked team full of other world class players which also contains workers, leaders and characters and he can do his own thing and steal the headlines but when they are asked to steer the ship themselves they come unstuck and have no real heart for the task at hand.

Looks like someone watches Neymar's games on twitter. Neymar's problem at PSG especially in the CL has always been fitness. When fit, he often has great and selfless performances. Both games against Bayern last year were amazing, the entire team was revolving around him and he did exactly what was needed. In the final 8, he was hands down the best player without scoring a single goal.

On top of that, there was never a single issue when Mbappé became the leader of the team as a goal scorer, Neymar never said anything, never showed frustration and said a couple of times he was glad to help Mbappé score.

Even Ole, Moyes and Rangnick would have won the league title with PSG. Big deal, he failed miserably in the CL.

He failed miserably in Ligue 1 as well. PSG supporters don't care much about the title (yeah it's sad). We care about the way the teams play. And the team played like utter shit during pretty much the entire season.

Feels so fecking good that this chapter is officially closed from our perspective. Back in Nov/Dec I was genuinely worried our clueless board only wanted this bum.

That sounds like we dodged a massive bullet not hiring him.

All true, and also anyone who watched his performances for Brazil as recently as last year in the Copa America would recognise that he's a brilliant player.

To think our board would have hired him and then some would have claimed the experts know more than the fans.

I wished United did go for him, just so Amadeus would have a full-time job defending him.

As opposed to the part-time job he has now?!

He deserves a promotion.

I personally can't wait for the future arguments where Amadeus will use Pochettino's Ligue 1 title to give him credibility as a world-class manager.

Unfortunately he has the look of a nice guy who's wife cheated on him and it ruined his life forever. So much so that he couldn't pick himself back up, lost all confidence nd self esteem, but still retained that nice guy smile.

No, seen him live countless times in the Champions League, for every bit of brilliance, there's a moment where he's either sulking or not tracking back, flopping or dribbling too long to take the offence out of rhythm. His talent is undeniable, the outrageous hype he got as some top 5 player however was laughable.

Yeah ok, you just don't like the guy, gotcha. It explains why your arguments don't make sense.

As a PSG fan, I wish your delusion was true though, in the infamous 6-1 game, Neymar was the only one still believing they could win, he eviscerated us. Neymar in shape wasn't top5, he was top3 without the shadow of a doubt.

Fair play to Poch for winning his first managerial trophy of meaning.
He can only beat what's put in front of him.

But his season has still been a failure, to use Pochs own words, as he didn't win the Champions league.

I was watching the highlights and the PSG players didnt even celebrate at the final whistle

Just a few high fives and pats on the back! Imagine winning the league but not even bothering to celebrate because its too routine/easy/expected.

This is exactly the same as when Bayern won their 8th in a row last year and likely again when they win it this season. Just half-arsed high fives, milling about on the pitch with their families and then off home to watch TV or something. Just so routine. Nothing exciting. Preseason vibes.

They won the league already, yesterday.

Thanks. I didn't know they'd clinched it, and it's actually the 10th in a row, not 9th. I guess I've stopped keeping count.

Finally got his league title, although it doesn’t mean much when you managed PSG. He really should do himself a favour and move to Italy or Spain and prove himself as the manager he thinks he is. No one is going to take him seriously for now, even if he wins the CL there’s a massive caveat with winning it with PSG.

If that's right then out of all the managers you've had since the takeover you could make a case for Blanc being one of your better ones. I know he didn't go as far in Champions League compared to Tuchel but from memory he played good football at PSG and had a good league record.
