La liga 2021/22

Winning Ligue 1 with a bankrolled PSG, Bundesliga with Bayern, La Liga with Real Madrid, Premier League with a bank rolled Chelsea.

Not exactly the toughest accomplishments. It kind of shows that he could only win the league with the best team in each of these leagues. Also he is the only manager to have managed all the top teams in each league, kind of half the reason he is the only coach to have won the league in them countries.

All it takes is for Mourinho to go to the best team in France and Germany, and Pep to go to the best team in France and Italy for them to have the same accomplishment, they would basically walk the league as it almost guaranteed as manager of PSG and Bayern.

Hell, if I managed PSG and Bayern I would win the league.

The only really great accomplishments from him are winning 3 CL titles and Serie A with Milan. The rest are mainly from him choosing the best team or the richest team or both.

Except those teams probably have no interest in hiring him? Coaching elite teams in four different decades is an achievement in itself.

Ancelotti's a great manager but I think some people are overreacting due to this stat. ESPN crew couldn't think of a manager ahead if him among the all time greats. He's obviously had a terrific career when it comes to the CL. But in terms of league football he's a bit underwhelming sneaking a title here and there despite always coaching top teams. Even with individual teams I always put higher weight age on those who also prove their mettle over 38 games.

Fati on for Barca and it's good to see him coming on with no pressure for a change.

Okay as a I speak, Mallorca pull one back. 2-1.

Mallorca need to be investigated for the end of this match. A goal down and they were passing around the ball at the back in the 93rd minute. Just so strange.

Surprising if true as they are actually fighting to escape from relegation.

The only plausible explanation for me could be them protecting their goal difference? The teams immediately around them have a far better goal difference so I don't think it would make a difference end of the season. The way they played in the last two mins of injury time was extremely bizarre and they just kept passing it around the back without really lumping it forward. Barca were there for the taking at that point.

Isn‘t direct duel and not goal difference the tie breaker in La Liga should two clubs have the same amount of points? Or am i dreaming this.

with the betis draw we are almost there... hopefully we can confirm the CL spot next weekend.
the season was as expected but the main goal is very close. i think it has been positive overall. the economic situation improved a lot, some young players looked very good... on the other side we will have one more year of sergi roberto (:nervous:)...

hopefully we have a decent summer, we will see. as i told last summer, i don't expect the team to be very competitive (at least in europe) for 2-3 years and i didnt change my mind, but it least i didnt raise my initial number.

by the way, congrats to real madrid, well deserved league.

for the same reason barça (dembele) should be investigated too. he was running upfront like crazy in the last minute instead of trying to keep the ball

Sore losers.
That's weird. Not even as though they're down in the dumps themselves. AM were champions just last season.
Perhaps fans and press have made the guard a mockery. I think the footballers see it as a fair acknowledgement.
In any case, they rightly remember that we didn't do it to Barça for la liga (Zidane decided it?), because Barça didn't do it to us some time before after winning the Club World Cup.

I just assumed that was standard Dembele and poor decision making. He lost the ball also on one of the attacks

I normally don't really give a shit about the guard of honor, except when atletico or barcelona have to give us one. Then it becomes the most important thing in the world and if they refuse it's lèse majesté and i want them to annihilate them for the affront. Just fecking ruin them forever :D

On second thought, i really feel like we deserve a guard of honor in every game. Rest of the world should show the proper respect to their betters

CWC was never a tradition for Pasillo as far as i'm aware, only the league.

Santi Mina sentenced to 4 years for sexual abuse (must go to prison)

It was but it really does not matter. Only once it was not made and that was because Guardiola didn't want to receive it.

At the end of the day it's up to Atletico to decide whether they want to do it or not. If they do it it's ok, and if they don't it, it will only help motivate Madrid players with Atletico fighting to qualify for CL. It's a "lose-lose" situation for them really.

Dani Alves is still so good on the ball, one of the GOATS at right back.

Annihilate? I can't remember the last time madrid beat Barca with a large score line.

With all this talk about the pasillo, I'm afraid they'll go crazy and we'll leave the Wanda with more than one injured

So, are you gloating about a result that happened before the Pep/era; In 2008, actually?

I'd say the 0-4 is a lot more recent
I'm not gloating. If i were i'd be mentioning the 4 CL and 5 finals, the league won at a canter, the first ever 100 points season, winning at camp nou with 10 men the week Cruyff passed away, and doing all that while they had Messi

I hope Carlo uses Vinicius, Benzema, Modric, Rodrygo and the rest of starters from now on.

But then your risking some of your main players getting injuries, perhaps it may not be worth it.

But it's 3 weeks until the final. Ideally you want some balance because lack of activity and tension are also negative in these cases.

Yeah you're right the best compromise would probably be getting them on as substitutes.

Do not mention "Barca and those 4 UCL titles" in the same sentence, because Madrid never faced Barca in those UCL runs, not once; and we all know what happened in the semis of 2011; Madrid and its fans should focus on their successes, and stop talking about Barca. Winning 2 trebles is hard enough for Madrid, huge task ahead, mate.

Oh, it wasn't even at home?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! 30 thousand germans took over your stadium?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
