In all honesty if I was him I'd be doing exactly the same. No reason to risk anything and no risk in driving slow here. It's the huge cars, stupid rules and even worse organization that is at fault for these "performances".
Monaco is a farce every year yet they dress it up like it’s the best thing since sliced bread

Alonso was slower for probably 3 seconds too in first 10 laps after the restart. He was 30 seconds behind after around 10-12 laps if I saw that well.
So not laps but time left.

Alonso was driving deliberately slowly though, so he could cover with pace way above his average speed where it matters on this track.
I guess I am just desperate for some overtaking.
And it will always be a waste of time. The fact that a driver can drive 3 seconds a lap slower and nobody behind him can over take anybody behind them.
Would like to see if Max’s tyres are as bad as Perez’s

It was that lockup that degraded Checo's tires.
They’re trying to make this sound exciting but it’s anything but.
Hamilton drives into Ocon and Ocon gets 5 second penalty because Hamilton moans.
