Poch is dead, long live Poch.

Ask yourself, why would PSG get rid of a manager that has done, according to you, wonders for the club?

Your delusion is now complete, left idolising a manager who currently doesn't manage, left idolising a manager who has failed (in his own words)!

Are you going to be ok? Serious question that, as I worry about you anyhow, yet alone now that Poch is dead.

Poch is dead, long live the Poch.

Pray for Amadaeus.
This post even more disturbing than amadaeus love for poch.

Not really a loss. Pochettino did the right thing and left or was sacked at the right time. I feel sorry for whoever will be the next manager. Could you imagine managing a 35 year old Messi, neymar who thinks he is playing Street football rather than football and a 22 year old who has been given the right to do whatever he wants? It is already a recipe for disaster and this is what Pochettino and tuchel (less than poch) had to deal with it. I bet now, the narrative would be that the players are the problem rather than the manager next season. You heard it here first. I hope it is Zidane who is their next manager because he will be found out with this team unless he is giving the right to drop neymar and Messi.

Coming from you, I only need basic level of football knowledge . There are better manager than Pochettino Like pep and klopp, but the ones you mentioned doesn't even come close. Let see if any manager can replicate what poch did at Spurs. Conte already stated top four is one of his biggest accomplishments. Also, let see if the next psg manager can replicate what poch did at psg as well. In 1 and a half year he got to the semi final and won all the domestic trophies. In addition, this season he was unbeaten at home. If the next manager of psg can do more than that in 1 and a half year, then he would have done better than Pochettino.

Well glad you realized your statement was incorrect. It is not all the time club picks managers that are better than there predecessor. Glad you are learning. I can teach you more things, the more you stalk me on this forum.

Wouldn't be surprise if Zidane rejected. That club is a circus. Even tuchel said that when he was sacked and I m sure Pochettino will say the same thing. At least Pochettino came and got what he wanted from psg, and now he can get to a more organized club. Newcastle will work brilliantly for him with the inflow of cash and if he gets full control. Real Madrid will be good as well because they are handling their ego their and building a team around top quality youth players.

I feel Galtier will be Pochettino replacement if they can't get Zidane. Which isn't a bad option, but might be a shock to him because the level between nice and lille and psg is massive. He will have to adopt quickly or it will be a bad appointment.

Embarrassing

Would be funny if Zidane decided that he didn’t want the gig. Who would PSG go for? Would they try and tap up Conte? Perhaps they already have.
Conte in that dressing room you don't find a worst night mare coming true for PSG.

If I was Everton I would sack Lampard and go for Poch. I think he would be the third best coach in the PL easily.

Third? Klopp, Pep, Conte, Tuchel, Ten Hag.

Are you saying he is better than Conte, Tuchel and Ten Hag?

I like poch but he is not. Pep, Klopp, conte and tuchel are for sure better than him.

Put it this way. I believe he would get united back near top level quicker than Conte, ETH, or Tuchel.

Up for debate. I won't lie, I am happy United hired ETH than Poch. Bigger risk yes but so is the reward. Tuchel is a superior manager to Poch and so is conte, although with him you have drama as well. Taking away Klopp and Pep, my choice as United from the other 4 would be Tuchel then Eth then poch then conte but as a manager conte is just better than poch and ETH at the moment.

Put it this way. Only Pep and Klopp are the sure bet to get us back to the top, and arguably it would take time.

The rest is gamble. We're way way behind the top (not top 4). There is no sure thing to get us back there. You don't need great coach to get into top 4 in the odd years. Ole is an example. The gap between the chasing pack behind the title challengers are huge, but not between themselves at the moment.

At their best, Poch's Tottenham is still distant behind to be considered a title challenger. Poch is a bigger gamble than Conte or Tuchel both trophies count and current status. Poch is maybe less gamble than ETH because of PL proven thing, but Poch reputation is taking a hit, so it maybe the case of him declining and eventually become worse than ETH.

Poch was in the process of making a very good team going by the second season. It’s only due to Zidane been available he is getting the boot.

PSG albeit losing to Madrid by an essential fluke probably look as good as anytime in their history. They play more on the front foot now unlike when they made the final a few years ago. He improved a fair amount of their players including Mbappe.

Still obviously a top coach and someone I wouldn’t mind managing us in the future someday.

I think Zidane might now step in the PSG role. As for Poch a little bit of time away might do him some good. He probably needs a break and a refresh.

What you stated has nothing to do with football. I don't know why I am continuing to entertain you. Psg has gotten rid of many good managers before.

Anyway, this is a chance for you and for anyone that thought Pochettino did a bad job at psg. You can quote me on this post because I typically end up right about these things. The next manager after poch, if you think they will get higher than semi final in champion league, unbeaten at home in a season and also win all the domestic trophies in under 1 and half year, then you guys can quote this and prove me wrong. I know a lot of the good poster won't, but people like you would. Anyway, I hope you do accept this so you don't have to stalk me anymore in this forum.

Galtier is a great coach and if psg do get him, then he definitely have the chance to surpass what poch did with this same team. Also the criteria is that neymar, Messi and mbappe are the starting front 3 . If any manager can get anything from that front three, especiallyin europe, then I deserve to be proven wrong.

Why are you such a liar? Pochettino literally lost 2 domestic cups this season but yet every post you keep saying he won all the domestic trophies.

Also you keep bringing up his champions league semi finals but you forgot he didn’t even start the campaign with PSG. Tuchel had them pretty much qualified them to the group stage before Poch took over no?

So if you going to give him the credit for his semi final champions league campaign then you should hold him accountable for losing the league title when he took over. You always said he didn’t start the league so can’t blame him for losing it but yet he didn’t start the champions league but you want to give him all the credit for going to the semis . Funny

A good not great manager, behind Conte, Pep, Klopp, probably Tuchel as well. Think he works best with younger players he can really bring his all action style of football to, that hard and fast press from the front on transition game he instilled at Southampton and Spurs.

To be fair, he didn't do much outside of the bare minimum.

How did I lie? I stated poch won all the domestic cup in france. Name one domestic cup he didn’t win?

the round of 16 is the hardest part of the competition and Pochettino beat most of the best team in Europe during that time. Any competent manager could have taken psg out of their group stage, but not any manager could have gotten them to the semi finals.

i said Pochettino is partly responsible. Other unintelligent fans on here put the whole blame on Pochettino that season. However, one thing I know is that if poch was in charge the full season rather than mid season, he would have walked the league like he did this year.

To be fair, he didn't do much outside of the bare minimum.

let see if the next manager can do much more outside the bare minimum and get them to the semi finals, go a season without losing at home and win all the domestic cup in 1 and a half year. Getting to the finals of the champions league isn’t going to be easy neither is going unbeaten at home in the champions league and the league. I just hope psg doesn’t decide to sell neymar now because poch had to deal with that handicap of playing MMM together

You said he won ALL the domestic trophies during his reign. The proper way to put it is, he won each kind of domestic trophy because he sure didn’t win all of them. You don’t think being knocked out of two domestic cups the season just past is a failure?

You can’t say any competent manager can get out the group stages. History has shown that’s not always the case. I mean Conte was dead last in the group few years ago with Inter. Even the great Sir Alex Ferguson didn’t always get out of the group stage.

So I guess you are one then, so I can remember you :). Can't wait for other post to join in.

You are arguing semantics. Even though he did win all there is to be won domestically as i stated. However, if you prefer to say each trophies, then that can be your cup of tea. I could care less about that wording because my point is the same point as yours. Being knocked out of domestic cup happens. Nagelsmann, pep, ETH, and so much more top coaches got knocked out of domestic cup. Would you label them as failures?

I meant competent manager with that psg team and in the group they were in. The manager would have to be really bad to get 3rd in that group stage that tuchel qualified from.

Anyway, on a side note,

It seems that our number two in charge next season said that we should be following the Pochettino blueprint not the ETH blueprint. Which is a weird thing to say.

He mentioned Poch once as Poch once said something about culture in a club, didn't say anything about following his blueprint!

He actually discussed Sean Dyche a lot more, he mentioned Poch once yet spoke about Dyche for a good few minutes.

I guess from that our new number two rates Dyche more than failure Poch.

But I guess you didn't watch it? :)

This is as bad at the Conte Chelsea sacking. Does he take pre season training whilst he waits?

He's still technically the PSG coach, isn't he? This must be the longest sacking in history.
