F1 2022 Season

I can't see Russell matching Max and Leclerc, it will be upto them two
 
Okay so this explains where the pace has come from. Whatever set up they've done is ultra low drag but it makes it a knife-edge to drive.

Have the gearboxes changed for this year as there was no mention of possible gearbox damage with Lewis’s car, whereas the last few years rear end impacts could feck it up.
 
Wonder what will happen with Russell entering the track without permission. Probably a reprimand? Not a common one.
 
Russell will most likely be 4th tomorrow so it's not too bad for him.
 
Dont know if any of those laps get deleted by wow, how close is that between the top 3?
 
with both mercedes crashing it’s clear red bull must have caused it.
 
For people saying that they're tired of seeing RB run away with it, obviously they have a great car. But you just have to look at the gap between Perez and the Ferraris to see that Verstappen is himself adding 3-4 tenths per lap of performance.

So it can’t be Perez underperforming then?
 
So impressed with Sainz, he has closed the qualy gap to Leclerc who usually saves his best for last run of Q3

Max gets that bit extra out of his car, same as Lewis does, when the car is right.
The RB is the car to beat, but it can be beat.
Max on Pole was expected, I see him winning the sprint and the main race, he is that good.

I think they have made the car more suited to Max being more front heavy in the last few races, Perez said so himself. It's aiding Max's qualy runs for sure giving him a tenth or so over the Ferrari's who are incredible over one lap
 
Max is probably the quickest driver in F1, I wouldn’t argue against that opinion but he isn’t dragging a car into pole, come on, it’s a quick car and has been all season.

Perez is not a great qualifier, never has been, if a career was measured on quali Perez wouldn’t even still be in F1, he’s there because he’s very solid in races. I don’t really buy his excuse of development moving away from him, he’s just not a one lap guy. He’s a specialist at some tracks but not many, Max rightfully dominates him 9 times out of 10.
 
If it's a Q2 lap time that gets deleted he should end up 15th?

Or are they going to give him some other penalty to make up for their own mistake letting him into Q3.
