Angel Di Maria | Performances | Wife: "He only joined United for money. The food was disgusting. The women look like porcelain"

Increasingly grim...because?
I immigrated to the UK in 2009 and I haven't noticed any difference in the lifestyle.
Unless you're retired, I don't see the need to be constantly outside. Maybe I am the only one that feels like that.
On weekends, yes but I and loads of people still go out and enjoy ourselves. This lady is out of touch.
And I grew up in the sun. So I am not saying this cause I don't have experience of the other side.
Of course a multi-millionaire celebrity would be out of touch.

Imagine describing the food in an entire city as horrible, considering there is food available from practically every culture you can think of. Takes a special sort of asshat to generalise on that scale

I think they could afford a personal chef as well....maybe she was talking about her cooking skills ... you know wherever she ate her food it tasted wrong

Paris had 1984 hours of sun in 2018. Manchester is said to have an average of 1416 per year. That is a difference of 568 hours.

If you could have 6 sunny hours per day to cover that difference in Manchester, that would equal to 95 days. The gap is quite noticeable.

The idea that Di Maria deserves extra hate from United fans because his family were unsettled is always odd to me considering the perfectly legit reason to hate him because he was absolutely shite is right there.

no one thinks that though

You can get pretty much any food you wish for in Manchester. Some Argentine food spots too. What a nob she is.

Women like porcelain? Sounds racist.
Nah it´s only the other way around I think.
But she knows shit all, my wife isn´t even from Manchester and is white as white can be.
Her great grandmother is the inspiration for the original Disney Snow White, that´s how white my wife is. I am seriously offended on her behalf.
Does this only apply for Manchester girls, UK in general or the global population of under the Speedo whites? She needs to clarify this ASAP.
Think we might have to start a campaign for porcelain whites where ever they are, I for one am outraged.

2018 was actually an incredible Northern European summer, all stats, including the ”average” one you gave for Manchester there went out of the window.

I was born and raised in a tropical country not far from the equiator, where the sun shines 365 days a year.
I find the constant moaning about the UK's weather very boring tbh. Virtually everyone spends most of the day indoors regardless of income and weather. Unless your job drags you outside you shouldn't be complaining.
I also don think the weather is that bad. Yes, it's cloudy and a bit cold but that's it. Have you been to parts of Canada? Now that's shit weather.
Some people think life is a constant holiday.

I am in some way the opposite of you. Like you I was also born in a tropical country (probably the same as yourself), but have lived in Canada for the last decade and moved around quite a bit.

Never understood rich people complaining about the weather. They have enough money to not interact with the weather as much and can just modify their routine to take full advantage of the 'bright' portion of the day. Asides from about 10 days worth of extreme cold during the peak winter months, most of it is bearable, and nothing stops them travelling to warmer climates when it happens anyway.

Saying that, I think some on this thread haven't covered themselves in glory with their response towards the woman. I guess you can't really be surprised these days.

Don't understand the 'dangerous thing' when she is from Argentina. Has she never looked at the murder rates in Buenos Aires?

But that’s precisely what many take issue with. Lot’s of other countries enjoy a more outdoors lifestyle, even in continental Europe.

My girlfriend is Italian and the difference between the UK and Italy in that regard is chalk and cheese.

Let’s be honest, a lot of our cities are pretty rough. I say that as someone who was born and brought up in London. Outside of rural areas, which have their own issues, I think the UK is an increasingly grim place. Sadly, I think it’s getting worse.

Most cities are shitholes - the only reason people think different is because, when they go on holiday, they don't go to the suburbs where you would likely be living if you moved there. People get some idea that you would be living near the colisseum in Rome or the Eiffel tower in Paris - that this will be daily life. No, you would be in a piss-scented back street with run-down, duplicated houses.

I've visited cities in Italy and England and I agree with you.

On holiday Rome sounds amazing but live in it and you'll see it for reality.

The reason a lot of Spanish footballers like maintain Europe though is for the weather. The quality of the city isn't a big differentiator imo.

Also Manchester has some incredible cuisine. You can find some real gems on wimslow road!

I’d honestly rather live in Manchester than Paris, it’s a horrible city.
Didn’t he also get ‘encouraged’ to leave because he wasn’t very aesthetic? I remember stories about him not being marketable for Real around the time.
Paris is a dump, it’s glamourised for no reason. Possibly the worst city I’ve been to.

Has she ever looked at her own husband? he looks like Squidward and here she is talking shit about others appearance eventhough it has nothing to do with football.

It's tough when your husband can't find a nice woman he likes. I imagine he was pretty irritable without something extra while he was here.

You do realise a professional footballer's job entirely revolves around being outdoors, don't you?

That sounds quite annoying, moving to another country is a much easier solution for said rich people.

In any case, it's not the cold. Not even the rain, as I didn't buy an umbrella for 12 years (if it rains I get wet, it's just water, same as in the shower, I'm not fussed at all). It's the absence of light, the constant reliance on artificial lights, and the fact when there actually is a sun out there you don't feel any heat from it, no tingle on your skin, nothing.

If you are used to it, meh, but when you are not it can do your head in.

So she's taking shots at other people's looks despite her husband looking like a rat?

I guess it’s a matter of opinion but when she talked about the women I had to google her and I don’t find her particularly attractive…very average.
Anyways, can’t wait for when he retires to a MLS team like Toronto FC and she experience a real winters day

I was thinking that, underserved ego. Not surprised though, Di Maria is a cnut so naturally would marry one.

It's not Di Maria doing the complaining.
South American footballers usually complain about it, both players and their bored housewives and relatives.

There is a pattern there which is much more compelling than your argument based on a rather different personal experience. You are neither a footballer nor a bored WAG having to randomly move countries at the drop of a hat.

Why does this forum turn into the Daily Mail sidebar of hate everytime a woman is mentioned?
Some people are unable to read the room. They see some people (myself included) being critical of someone for their views on a subject, notice it's a woman and think to themselves "Yeah, they must be having a go because she's a female! My time to shine!" Before they spout hateful shite like a backed up portaloo at Glasto.

It would be nice if she could experience what its like to worry about having enough money for groceries.

She sounds like an idiot to be honest. I'm not reading her comments and thinking 'wow manchester must be really shit', i'm thinking she sounds like a spoilt clown

Isnt this about the opinions of the wife of a Manchester United player? I dont see why her gender has any bearing on this discussion. It would be just as bad if it was Di Marias husband.

Crime, litter, gangs, tired looking high streets with empty premises. I think we’re lagging in behind in overall aesthetics too (a legacy of councils/planners not adequately preserving the architectural heritage of our towns and cities).

I’m not a retiree - I’m in my early 30s. Yet, I definitely see the benefits of an outdoor lifestyle. Family in Australia are constantly at the beach and are able to enjoy an active, outdoor lifestyle pretty much all year round. Even within Europe, I think the same is often correct. I lived in Seville for a period, and I definitely think there is something to be said, for the cafe culture on display, with people of all ages sitting out in the squares until late evening - not with the intention of getting smashed either. This is something you see across Europe, even those with cooler climes.

Well, I can't, clearly. It's the second time I see a thread derailing into complaints about how people post about women and I've no idea why.

Genuine question to you and @moses , what makes you say this? She's got a lot of shit thrown at her, but she did open her trap to make offensive remarks about a place and the people that live in it. Is it wrong to, say, call her a stupid bint?

As far as I can see Di Maria gets hate in equal measure (rat faced cnut, etc) despite not having said jack shit. Where's the difference?
