Deserved lead. We're not matching their intensity, but the quality difference is too high. Should be a comfortable win from this position if no one fecks up.

But man, Ronaldo is just done isn't he? It's late stage Rooney all over again. He's obviously not going to be as fast or as lethal as he was, but his first touch is gone completely. His body is abandoning him and he can't adjust. It's sad to see.

Would like to see the youngsters and Casemiro get some minutes. Hope we remain comfortable to give them that.

Eriksen is the one who needs to be wrapped in cotton wool. He makes everything tick, and makes everyone around him better. McTominay is a man reborn with Eriksen next to him. He can focus on what he is good at, and it’s made a massive difference to his game. We have no replacement for Eriksen. He frees up Bruno to play as a Mezzala and that’s seeing the best of the Portuguese too.
