He is the biggest badass because his Dragon is twice the size of any other but yeah his sword fighting becoming so good is a bit of a stretch.

Not really a stretch. His brother clearly has other interests so Aemond has spent 6 years with more or less undivided attention from probably the best swordsman in the realm in Criston Cole.

It's been 6 years, to be fair. He's clearly been doing nothing but training to be a badass.
It was a very good episode but I'm very annoyed with the last couple of minutes.
To have the entire war based on a simple misunderstanding seems like such a massive, cheap cop-out. Just like the viewers are eternally confused by all the similarly sounding names, that same confusion winds up being the cause of the entire plot and the defining conflict of the biggest house in Westeros? What a letdown.
He must be so sick of Eye of the Tiger by now.

The bug collecting daughter Haelena is married to her brother Aegon. Jacerys starting dancing with her to get back at Aegon making snide comments to Rhaena ( Jacerys' bethrothed)
The eyepatch Aemond is pretty much his side's version of Daemon. Get ready for some chaos.
I can understand Alicent would be confused by the Aegon prophecy, but she's very naive to think in his dying moment Viserys would renounce Rhaenyra's claim to the throne. He's defended her (and her kids) so much & he just gave a speech on bringing the family together.
I never said she is noble, I said she is driven by honour which is determined by the world she lives in. Obviously on planet earth in real life she is a sickening individual.
King isn't noble either, he murdered his wife for the sake of his unborn baby. Also nicked the throne off his sister and is causing all types of shit with his bad decisions.
If that's where they're going with that last conversation then I 100% agree. What a complete farce if it is.

Nicked the throne from his cousin that wasn't his choice though hundreds of nobles voted for that to happen. He changed the rules after so that the oldest inherited regardless of sex. He was told his wife was going to die anyway the only option he had was if his child survived. I'm not sure it was true though as we know that the citadel is in Hightown.
Alicent also went to her best friend's father's quarters to seduce him to making her queen the night of his wife's funeral. I don't see where you get the honour from.

Aemond looks so over the top evil. He's a cartoon villain. I lijed the resolution to the sea snake's brother's bid for the drift woukd throne.

It's basically Plan B tea in Westeros. It's been used before in the shows and in the books. And I think the previous episodes have shown it's clear the war would be happening regardless of the last words. That's just a little cherry on top
Viserys' speech wasn't quite as memorable as Tyrion's... but pretty damn good. Paddy Considine is an amazing actor.

They wouldn't really be using a poison that is only active when brewed though - "tea" specifically refers to moon tea, as there are many poisons that could be used that are colourless and tasteless (e.g. the Tears of Lys).
Extremely unlikely that they were trying to kill her. Not that Plan Tea is without risk, mind.

I'm pretty sure that he didn't actually have much of a choice — if the baby doesn't come, it's still a death sentence for both, just like Daemon's case showcased later. So he tried to get something out of a non-winnable situation and lost.

There's a really good house of the dragon podcast that do episode instant reviews, in-depth reviews and fan questions three episodes a week. It's not the official one but the next popular one. Worth a listen for anyone whose unclear about whats going on (a fair few here apparently ).
).That was Helaena, Aegon’s sister-wife, asking where the maid who had just been summoned to a long convo with Alicent and then took some Plan T was because their children weren’t dressed.
The maid was otherwise occupied, not dead. Or at least we weren’t given any reason to believe so.
I watched that dinner sequence again and it is definitely my top 5 scene in GOT universe. That dance sequence with Halaena and Jacaerys with Viserys looking on was so nicely done. That background music score was so well done as well. Ramin Djawadi is a strong contender for another Emmy for this score despite them using the original GOT theme for Intro sequence

Ah, I don't watch those. Still, I think it's obvious from the culmination of 8 episodes that cover what, 16+ years, that this war was happening by the point Viserys died no matter what. Nothing Viserys said on the deathbed would have changed that. I can certainly see Alicent and Otto using it to their advantage though as they probably would anything Viserys said or didn't say.

It’s possible but this scene certainly doesn’t prove anything. The maid is going to disappear one way or another, she’s not going to come back into his service next day — which his wife (not another maid) noticed it and unknowingly interrupted their chatter about the whole situation with Diana.
I think that her going missing is quite confusing and unnecessary if she is actually alive. Alicent seemed quite pained, more than she should have if it were just plan B tea. She can't have Dyana talking, and responded "I know you won't" when Dyana said she wouldn't tell anyone else. I think she killed her

I was referring to when the Queen gave the servant the potion, had a look that made me think she was killing the servant. My pardons for bringing you to despair and feeling the need to swear at me.
I have no idea who Halaena is though.
This show is pretty good, better than I expected. It does not have the high end quality that GOT had at the beginning nor the scope or depth. But it has few lowlights (Daemon's silly one man army nonsense) and each of the recent episodes had scenes, where the tension was palpable and I was at the edge of my seat waiting for shit to go down.
The time jumps are a bit unfortunate, but understandable. Young Rhaenyra was a big loss. She had something more than the adult version.
Viserys is off the charts, though. That a "weak" King is carrying the show is remarkable. He is second to nobody in the whole GOT universe. Masterful performance. And his deterioration and death are scarily realistic (well, maybe except for the eye) as many who have seen people grow old, sick and die can confirm. The actor, directors and stylists did an amazing job.

The other woman wasn't a maid she was the Queen's daughter.
