Penny finally dropped for Hamilton, as if Perez hanging onto his gearbox wasn’t obvious enough.
Yep - medium/medium/soft was clearly the better strategy. Given the softer compounds were obviously able to go longer than expected given the first stint, committing to the 1 stop seems a poor decision for Merc.
Fully expected both Mercs to go long on the mediums and then put on the softs.

RusselThe FIA needs to take a leaf out of the Indy Car playbook sometimes. The season is over, it’s all for fun, stick a full SC out.
Personally think that even a two stop with med/med/soft would be better than the one stop on med/hard. That hard tyre is seemingly the death knell of competitiveness.
Alpine have really fcked up Alonso this season. Glad it's coming to an end.
