Premier League Gameweek 15

Fulham aren’t using the man advantage by keeping the ball. It’s the same quick counters that they’re outmanned in time and time again.

What’s the chances of a 10 Man City still winning? That’s how strong they are

Will City get punished for failing to control their players?

I look forward to seeing City charged for failing to control their players.

Mbeumo showing Henderson his arse when he tried to come over and distract him.

How do City look like they are the one with one man up? As opposed to us who completely folded against Young Boys last season.

Is "us" Manchester United?

My guess is Pep has City play as a collective unit, a team with belief and confidence. United often played as a group of individuals and with no designed play, no belief in one another, and clown managers. Quite happy Ten Hag is here showing some signs of life but with a few growing pains.

Penalty to Brentford. Henderson gives it away. Henderson yellow carded and still mouthing off. Mbeumo. 1-1.

Some absolutely crazy decisions in that match. Forest should have had at least two penalties. Shocking by VAR yet again.

Bad day for portuguese right backs. Dalots lucky you's aren't playing today!

Marsch 45 minutes away from the sack again. Disaster for Leeds if they follow up their shock win by losing at home to Bournemouth.

That pen that Henderson gave away gets VAR involved for a super soft touch that puts him off balance, yet Sancho doesn't get one for being blatantly kicked in the shin. These refs are just something else.

It feels like they're still intimidated by City and don't believe in their chance to win themselves, so rather stay back and try to hit them on the counter

Fulham are more than happy with a point even more so when City put on Haaland around hour mark.

They will however get one big chance in second half if they don't completely park the bus.

Both are obvious penalties. The only reason this one even went to VAR is because he made an honest attempt to stay up and stick the ball in the empty net.

If he just chucks himself over at the point of contact, he gets it straight away.

A lot of teams surrounding the ref in today's games. That's United charged by the FA Monday morning for failing to control their players.

Is this on the manager? The tactics? Not having a separate plan?
For me it’s the manager. They’re playing it as if it’s a better chance for their plan A to succeed rather than taking advantage of the situation right now.
They aren’t using width anyway so I’d take off a forward and stick on a midfielder to keep the ball and press them better. A win is a bonus but they’re on course to lose here. Their man disadvantage is out wide so crowd the centre and force them out there. Easier said than done I suppose

Wolves had a man sent off, what happened?
Semedo as last defender grabs a Brighton player from behind at the edge of the box. Not sure about it being an obvious goalscoring opportunity, but he didn't play the ball and ref gave a red so VAR was never going to intervene.

I agree that it's a pen and it's good to see that honesty doesn't get punished like it usually is, but the difference in standards is absolutely staggering from game to game. And whether he gets a pen if he chucks himself to the ground seems to be dependent on how dramatically he throws himself to the ground, as that seems to be the basis for not awarding Sancho a penalty.

Please hold on Fulham. My FF team will get fecked, but City dropping points is always great.

Fulham aren’t out here right about, wasting time so La Liga teams take note

No idea why Sancho reacted so theatrically, leaping in the air. It was seriously unnatural looking, even though he was clearly fouled.

Inexplicable how Liverpool lost to Leeds and Nottingham Forrest.

I am really impressed by Bournemouth.

Not so impressed with Burnley in the Championship. 4 set-pieces ended up as Sheffield U-goals. For a warrior like Kompany, that must have hurt :)

Stonewall pen and red. Can't get clearer than that. Fulham will still choke however.
How is this phrase still a thing? I'm not having a go at you specifically, as a few commentators continue to regurgitate it.
Just baffles me that people want give the impression they have the same vocabulary as Merson.

That Sheffield United v. Burnley game was amazing. You are right though that Burnley can't defend set pieces.

And the last part of your post should really settle it, but referees are just so bloody poor.

City aren't even playing that good. Fulham are just terrible
