Premier League Gameweek 15

Man. City just need to throw Haaland on if he's fit.

Can have 8 men on the pitch and all it takes is one accurate cross and him to make the run and that's probably the winner.

I’m still pretty confident City will lift the PL trophy, but a wee bit of doubt would not be out of order.

How is this phrase still a thing? I'm not having a go at you specifically, as a few commentators continue to regurgitate it.
Just baffles me that people want give the impression they have the same vocabulary as Merson.
What a strange and quite frankly arrogant thing to be annoyed about. Like it or not, it's well defined in football terminology.

The lack of fuss being made about the impact of Grealish relative to his transfer fee is mindblowing. Everyone basically just goes: "Oh well £100m, didn't quite work out, but he's English innit - might still come good".

Annoyed is too strong, more very mildly irked and probably sounding like Pogue shouting at clouds.

EDIT: Well-defined my arse. It's a recent baffling phenomenon

Kenny Tete also now suspended against us next week.

Not because he's' English. It's because it's City. "Oh well £100m, didn't quite work out, but next time they'll give Bellingham a shot spending £150m and see if that helps."

Haaland doesn’t contribute to the build up so they’re basically creating with 9 men here but he’ll still score.

If I recall, a suspension due to accumulation of yellows only apply to the same competition.

Yes but they could both still get a second yellow and miss the cup game instead.

Ok they're out of the cup so irrelevant.

Paying £100m for someone who just falls over

Depends on what you class as recent. There's examples on this forum itself from 20 years ago of its usage.

It's also because it's City, but his Englishness is definitely a factor.
