Premier League Gameweek 20-21

Scenes. Amazing. Fun five mins at the end, there. Keeper went to pieces.

Spurs are fecking awful against all the big sides except for City who they have a fecking brilliant record against.

Bizarre.

We all want City to win, right? that's the only correct answer.. especially after dropping silly points ourselves and with Arse coming up.
City are in the top 4 race if they lose this. Staying joint second has to be a plus

If only Case had scored at the very end.. or we played better overall.
those 2 points are going to irritate me for a while..

I want some top 4 cushion.. Who do Newcastle play at the weekend? Looking at Newcastle results just feels wrong..

This is problem when you depend on Haaland scoring. When his honeymoon is over, it is over.

It’s a shame Arsenal are clear because with how shit the top sides are we might actually have stood a chance if not.

City are awful right now.

This is what happens when you play Stones and Akanji over Ruben Dias. Pep is gonna have a bit to answer after this.
The team is a mess.

Seriously what the feck is up with your team? Why are they bottling the league so bad? It's fecking Arsenal not Liverpool they're competing with

100% want Spurs to win, feck City. Not like it’s Liverpool 8 points clear.
Exactly. I despise them, of all the teams in the Prem. Ugh. Pep, great to see that Pep Guardiola is my idol looking sour. Hang in Spuds.

Sorry I mean if they do. People are supporting city in case spurs catch us. I'm saying if spurs catch us that's all on us.

Yeah fair enough.

I don't think they will catch us up though to be honest. They have a weirdly great record vs City but they're still a team in trouble with a manager who is likely off in the summer.

Arsenal will win the league by mid March at this rate.

Man. City just need to get De Bruyne on. Even at 50% they're a much more creative force with him central.

City are awful. Still throwing bodies forward and getting caught out with 2 against 3 at the back, just like on Saturday. Ten Hag has written the blueprint for others to follow.

Yes, last night's result was gutting but who's to say City wouldn't have been amped up and more motivated had we leapfrogged them in the table? At least with Spurs winning the Arsenal game becomes more interesting than it was after yesterday's result.

I think Haaland will regain his form eventually, but I’m seeing shades of Ibrahimovic at Barca
Pep has a lot of work to do in his tactics playing an out and out striker instead of false 9, without the numerical advantage in midfield.

Love forgetting a rival’s game is on & stumble into this thread only to see the great news.

There is a fecking 2 week break after this weekend.. and then we play Palace again. This shit keeps getting worse.

I thought Ederson was every bit as bad at the second goal tbh.

Why palm it back out like that? It's a terrible cross to no one that is flying out for a throw in if you just leave it. Be aware of your box and you'll know there's no Spurs player there to put it in.

City lose quite a lot of control with Haaland in the team. They essentially played with an extra midfielder in previous seasons, which led to more possession and less opportunities for their opponents to attack their defence.

The City defence is more exposed than it has been in years, and there have been cracks appearing all season.

That last minute leveller even more sickening now ffs.
Don’t think it really matters. If we discount the title race it doesn’t look like we need to sustain winning 10 out of 11 to get top 4.

Posters on here called the fact he was average in the air and were laughed out of it.
That’s the problem he’s now facing, if he’s not getting chances on the ground by being g crowded out he can’t seem to change the game elsewhere.

I think in fairness he’s no bad in the air if he gets a bit of space, he does get the odd towering header. But put him under a bit of pressure and he times his jump all wrong, is off balance, etc.

I do agree that he’s generally limited to runs in behind and balls on the floor around the 6 yard box. But I still think he’s so effective at those two things, they’re so hard to prevent altogether, that he’ll inevitably score bucketloads for years.

Definitely not convinced it makes City a better team though…
