Champions League Round of 16 (14th Feb - 15th Mar)

PSG look so poor. It's crazy United and Barcelona are in the Europa League. Both United and Barça are better than PSG.
You put Mbappe in that team and it's another story.

Spurs must be one of the most frustrating teams to follow.

It is frustrating to watch the CL and think only 4/5 teams (City, Bayern, Napoli, PSG (with Mbappé) and maybe Madrid) among the 16 have better squads than us currently... We'd have had a real shot at winning it if we were there.

Ye I think if mbappe comes on he gets a goal or at least a few chances behind that defence.
Yeah, he could certainly do some damage if that space is afforded to him.
Why wouldn’t Bayern do that? Messi and Neymar have no pace.
Generally speaking it's a risky move and I don't think sommer is as good of sweeper as neuer.

Barcelona? You saying that because you guys are playing them.
They were a joke in group phase and see deservedly out.
TBF they were still playing the likes of Pique, Bellerin, Eric Garcia in the group stage.

They weren't. They really should have beaten you in Munich and then they lost literally all of their good defenders for the inter games. Bit unlucky in those games too

Davies on instead of Cancelo, so Bayern presumably switching from 3241 to 4231

Cancelo hooked. From everything we've heard about his temperament, he's not going to be happy

That's why it's always a shame to lose out on the cl as you never really know what the sate of the teams might be in a year or so.

I just don’t see it with Bayern this year. PSG are very poor, can’t keep possession, Messi and Neymar are walking around most of the time, and Bayern have all the space in the world. But they do feck all with it, with Coman being their only dangerous player
Very poor game overall
I think Bayern have another couple of gears to be fair. Their form hasn't been great since the world cup, but that also means they can improve. There's a lot of quality in that squad, I still think they look the most likely alongside City out of the teams left.

Considering Pavard's yellow card I'd probably have taken him off instead of Cancelo for the switch to 4 at the back. Neymar is even tougher to defend, than he already is, with a yellow.

Haven’t taken any notice of Italian football for a long time. How long have Milan been this sh1t?

There's that inconsistent rule with keepers. If a player brushes a keeper, immediate free-kick to the keeper. If the keeper (with the full use of all limbs) clatters an opposing player, still free kick to the keeper guaranteed.
