Champions League Round of 16 (14th Feb - 15th Mar)

Alaba and Vinicius Jr. v Alexander-Arnold*.

*Salah won’t cross his own half-way line

Alaba and Vinicius don’t really work wel together, Vini and Cama works better.

Both teams are weak this season, can’t really predict which way it will go.

Valverde, Modric and Camavinga is bad now? :wenger:
It's probably still better than Liverpool's. But nonetheless it is one of the weakest midfield trios Real used in a long time in the CL.

No, but I still expect a few marauding darts forward from Alaba, all the same, and creating 2v1 overloads against Alexander-Arnold. Let’s hope the Madridistas can make them count…

¡Hala Madrid!

See Liverpool fans still haven’t changed. Setting fireworks off outside the Madrid hotel room.

We come from Casemiro-Kroos-Modric so it's not false, but Camavinga and Valverde are playing very well.

Because 1 or 2 ex Liverpool players pipping off the club isn't enough BT Sports got a hattrick of the cnuts

Poor Rio :(

In the past few years Liverpool have been lucky with playing the 2nd leg at home in these big games. Anfield loves a big away night. Here they must go to Madrid for the 2nd leg which could make all the difference.

I'm watching the Paramount/CBS feed with Clive Tyldesley at the commentary. Champions League football with Clive is just the best.

Frankfurt fans thinking they better protect the environment, by doing a paperless pre-game "choreo".

What’s the thought process behind booing the CL anthem but paying the money to go to the game?

Who is this Bajectic lad?

Also why are they playing Darwin LW and Gakpo CF? Surely they should be the other way around?

What are they booing for? This isn't Man City
It's about the original report (wrongly) blaming Liverpool fans for the problems outside the gate surrounding the Champions League final. In fact, the whole thing in Saint-Denis was a total mess.

What are they booing for? This isn't Man City

UEFA didn’t let their fans without tickets into the stadium at the final last year.

What are they booing for? This isn't Man City

I'd assume it's something to do with the recently released report about incidents surrounding last year's final?

I was wondering myself when I started.

Why is everyone watching the dippers match? The Frankfurt/Napoli match for me.

Feck sake, why is McManaman commentating. Does he just come out the woodwork for Liverpool games?

That being said Real have been clearly second best since the match started
