F1 2023 Season

Love how desperate Crofty is to make it sound like something is happening.

They're just rolling around on dead tyres and dont care.

Quick question, do parc ferme rules still apply? Can the teams change setups from the Qualifying yesterday to the race?

Well it was promising for a while, but then it went boring.
Nobody was really trying in the end, has as already been said, data gathering for the main race.
No one will risk their car for sunday. Only way this works is by getting rid of the budget for teams or having sprit racing outside of the budget cap and an extra car for sprint weekends.

Previously no they couldnt. Now with this new sprint format i dont know. Someone will on here.

Get rid of sprints in it's current format. It's just a normal race but shorter. Needs a variable to make it different, reverse grid, tyres that wear out quicker. Something.

Scary for Ferrari that he kept up with Charles carrying that much damage.

Lewis gonna give Russell a pat on the back in the garage

That sort of damage on Max is retirement worthy. Leclerc has no chance tomorrow to keep up with RBs, he was falling away massively in that stint

I was about a 3/10 in terms of excitement ahead the sprint race, and 1/10 during. What a waste of time.

The only marginally interesting thing that happened was Max acting like a 5 year old, and being encouraged to do so by his team. At least when Schumacher pushed the limits, he didn’t come across as such an entitled brat.

3 of the sprints are in the last 6 races of the season, including two in a row at Qatar and USA.

Gonna be grid penalty pandemonium with the engine pools by that point in the season.

Also one in Spa which is guaranteed to be 14 laps behind a safety car in the rain.

These sprint races are a waste of time. Get rid of them ffs. I don't think anyone likes them; the drivers certainly don't.

Also, Russell is a bellend.

Max is such a bitch. Not defending Russel, but his car took a damage too, he could have easily lost the front wing, why is Max complaining so much?

Good race from Perez and Leclerc, Leclerc is lucky Max had damage, he won't stay better than P3 after 4 laps tomorrow. But Ferrari have improved, far better than they were, so that's positive.

FFS Max and Horner are a joke
Max calling Russell a dickhead and Horner saying Russell was lucky he had his helmet on WTF
There was nothing wrong with the move, just hard racing.

If you can’t race wheel to wheel in sprint races, there’s even less point in them, if that’s even possible.

Just a shit short race. So pointless. fecking hate Liberty.

Well at least there's an actual race tomorrow, silly Saturday is gone, onto serious Sunday.

Yes they can now. Hamilton confirmed that when he said they have learnt from the sprint about setup changes they need to make for the GP to his car.

I mean the irony is so fantastic, but of course Super Max and all that.

Even more ironic was Max saying that sprints are bad because they're "artificial excitement", given that his first title only came about because of some made up rules in the name of artificial excitement.

George 'the heat seeker' Russell in 11th could cause some carnage.

Hope Norris gets a decent points haul, he is certainly cheerier and more upbeat in the media than the beginning of the calendar (and last year's).

What an awful track. Max passes with drs ease, gains a second in half a lap and now race over. No point watching the rest of it
