Either Kane signs a new contract on the basis of new manager - new promises for more money, or walks next year for free and cashes in a decent sign on bonus.
From a financial perspective, if I was Kane I'd run out my contract and pocket the big sign-on bonus. If all he wants is a trophy a move to PSG or Bayern will guarantee that. Who knows, maybe there is a legitimate contender to City in the league in a year's time he can switch over to.

It was widely reported in the UK after the news came that Touchel met with Kane, Levy wasnt happy with Bayern. not sure how true this was though.

The cost of missing out on CL is almost the same as that fee. If we see Spurs sign a striker then maybe then I can see Levy caving in otherwise I genuinely think he would rather hold on to him to hopefully secure CL than sell him. And by the way, Spurs are fast approaching the big boys in terms of income generation, They were 9th based on last years (22/23) numbers without CL. They have had CL in this season just gone, loads of concerts and events at their stadium, so I can imagine they are nearing the 600m number when the 22/23 numbers are revealed.
His options will really open up next summer. Not only will he get a big sign-on bonus, nearly all the top teams in the world would gladly take him.

Sadly yes. Even if it was announced today that the Qatar offer had been accepted it would be September/October before it was completed, so the chances of making a big offer for Kane or similar are close to 0%.
Look at the recent takeovers of Chelsea and Newcastle and the timeframe of the various different stages.

How I wish we could do that
Kane's biggest mistake was signing a 6 year contract with Daniel Levy as chairman.
All the big clubs could just go round telling players not to renew their contracts and get a big signing on bonus off them thats why. It would be terrible for clubs which survive off buying for cheap and selling at a considerable profit.
Yeah the trouble was when he did they had challenged (sort of) for the league in back to back seasons. They then followed it up by that unbelievable run to Champions League final two years later only to have the worst possible start.
It's the classic "I can change, please don't leave me" situation in relationships. They show some promise for a while, but ultimately they revert back to being the same old piece of shit.

This is pretty much what I think will happen.
Unless Kane is stupid enough to sign a new contract. Which I seriously doubt anyone would be THAT stupid. But as some say never underestimate anyone. Especially Kane in this case.

Are those not the stats of a competing team that perhaps lack a person up front who can finish? It's not like the CL is littered with top teams right now. It's only Man City who are way ahead of everyone else.

Teams that qualify would be a good start. Spurs wont.
This is such a myth. He’s not a good football player businessman. He sells players at market rate or below. He signs players for outrageous fortunes with no competition. His hit rate on good value sales is horrific. His hit rate in value for money purchases is no better.
He’s a cnut to deal with. But one that never winds up with fabulous deals for his club from a financial standpoint.
Bayern with Kane would be second favourites for the CL I reckon.
Basically Levy will keep him this season to help push for a Champions League spot, and who knows, they might keep him if they do. Selling Kane is of no benefit to them as they will likely not get an adequate replacement and will cause their supporters who were already saying "Levy out" last season even more ammunition. If it becomes clear Kane will leave on a free, a full media blitz of propaganda will come from Tottenham making Kane look like the bad guy for greedily choosing money over his boyhood club. 100 Million for Kane doesn't mean much when that gets 2 adequate players or one decent one in todays market.

Just have to use the money smartly, could get Toney in January and survive with Richarlison for the first few months and get a few midfielders in as that's where they struggled the most, they have no Europe so don't need a huge squad and manager will be afforded time to do things his way rather than play in a way around Kane and then have to re-build that plan after 1 year if/ when Kane leaves.

Keeping Kane would only make sense, if he signs a new contract or they win silverware next season. Both is extremely unlikely.
Add there aren't any other (serious) bidders, Levy is left with little choice.
