Shocking pit stop for Piastri
Yes very good point you could count on one hand the number of retirements nowadays
Have the cars become TOO good?
Some would certainly argue that the sport has become too sterile. Obviously, safety is important, but I used to love watching F1 when they had refueling, for example. It used to add so much unpredictability and drama to proceedings.
I think they are getting close to being able to get rid of it. All comes down to how much downforce is lost when chasing a car and how close you can get before the aero stalls. I think some tracks dont need it, some still do.Those who are more techy than me - if they scrap DRS do you think it would make overtaking excitement better or worse? I've watched since the 90s but don't really remember what overtaking was like
With drs there's less challenge as they can just breeze past

Just no fun with that red bull.
They had no choice, as Piastri and Perez pitted together, even if Lewis had stopped lap later, they would have overtaken him. So they decided to play this stint as long as it was possible to give some edge later on the race instead + potentially a chance for SC.Why doesnt mercedes put hamilton? Even on softs later on he wouldnt make up the time he looses now.
Plenty of good racing behind him.I'd be interested in how many times Max is shown during the race can't remember the last time he was here
I try to look at it differently: we re watching history being made. And that is a privilege.18 laps to make history and make it 12 wins in a row. What an utter shite season. One of the worst in recent memory. 12 races in a row. Literally no competition for RB.
