Romelu Lukaku | Chelsea

well we're not exactly obnious to get rid of Vlahovic 23yrs old to get a fatter 31yrs old on higher wages.
A reject that Chelsea wanna get rid no matter what.
If I were Juventus management I would offer you guys a loan (worth your annual deprecation) with option turning into obligation if we qualify for next CL for Lukaku's residual value

I mean Lukaku has either Juventus or Arabia as options.
Maybe Tottenham if they sell Kane
And if Lukaku wanted to go to Arabia he would've gone 3weeks ago.
Everyone knows that the more time passes the more Chelsea will be hard pressed.
To not keep a lunatic there

I hope he accept Arabia offert. If we have to sell Vlahovic for the books I would go for another profile like Wahi or J. David or even Balogun rather than Lukaku.
I mean why spending 40m on someone who you dunno if next year gonna stick or will play child to go wherever he wants.
And being 32yrs old. This is madness. Loan to see if the player is there with his head and if he won't turn childish next summer.

Problem is we already have Kean,Milik,Vlahovic and Chiesa. We can't add without selling someone
Your manager wants him badly in my opinion. So why your team even come for him despite he had history with juve faithful. May be you don't want vlahovic to go but your manager want Lukaku though.

We are determined already not to give him up on loan. We clearly conveyed that message to inter. We are willing to keep him in reserve squad if he didn't get any offer. Things will change once he don't have anywhere to go he will accept Arab offer. That's fine for us.

Seems like lukaku might be going to juventus. Pochettino is crucial to see if vlahovic comes to Chelsea. Interesting story because vlahovic was one of Pochettino main target, but Jackson is doing so well. And if they get vlahovic, it is hard to not imagine him not starting.

But it is also good for competition.

City has halaand/Alvarez
United has holjland/martial
Arsenal has jesus/nekitiah
Liverpool has nunez/gakpo?
Newcastle has Wilson/Isak

So chelsea having jackson/vlahovic isn't to crazy

Too bad he couldn’t come to Juventus in that 2019 summer. Would have been pure comedy to watch Ronaldo play with Lukaku as strikers. The meltdown would be tasty.

Wow, really surprised by this. I thought Vlahovic was meant to be a good young striker? I guess not if Juve are looking to swap him for Lukaku AND offer 40m too. Madness

How poorly managed is Juventus that they want to swap Vlahovic for Lukaku, and even add 40m to the deal, and pay higher wages to Lukaku.

Worst trade I've seen in modern football.

Juventus don't deserve to quality to the UCL, if they end up getting Lukaku, that DOF should be fired.

Chelsea wanted 40 million for Lukaku, deal is Lukaku + 40 million for Vlahovic.

they are asking for Lukaku and 40m, not paying 40m themselves

Makes sense for Juve to go for him. They need proven Serie A bully to get their place back in the league. Doubt they have any ambition to win CL even if they qualify next season.

Looking forward to all his bitching about past clubs when he scores a couple of sitters for Juve, soon followed by the meltdown when they too realise he's shite.

Well yeah if you guys were actually willing to pay 20M loan fee for one season of Lukaku then I'm sure that's something we might be interested in but I somehow doubt you'd pay that much. And if you were indeed to pay that much for just a loan why not just buy him on a permanent for 40M?

The Inter loan last season was for like an 8M loan fee so I'm sure the Juve board would go for something similar if a loan were to be offered and that's not good enough for us anymore.

Tbh I don't get why any of the so called top clubs would want to sign him. I know Juve are in a bit of a mess, but they could surely get someone else.

because unless we sell Vlahovic or someonelse we don't have money to spend
Without CL + 10+10 fine from UEFA we have to sell lot of players to bring down wages and annual deprecation
So we can't exactly waste money having both Vlahovic and Lukaku and then praying to sell Kean or something

Sadly Exor aka Juventus owners said stop to money wasting

Why are you even trying to get rid of Vlhahovic? Is he pushing to leave? Lukaku's wages won't be cheaper than Vlahovic.

I wouldnt. He had a bad season cause of pubalgia.
There are rumors that both Chiesa and Vlahovic said that if Allegri wasnt fired they wanted to be sold.
We couldn't fire Allegri cause that would cost 40m euro and plus we have to lower wages and annual deprecatio. So they made 2+2. Even if you sell Zakaria and Mckennie you wont make much.
We have only 3 good players that are expensive on books and could be sold which are Bremer,Valhovic and Chiesa.
There you go rumors and shit.

But as I said I'd keep them all and try to sell lower value players. If worse came to worst some promising youth to raise funds.

I guess the management wish for selling Vlahovic for 70-80 get a cheaper replacement (Lukaku 37.5) and even if wages are higher save the difference for the books.

Season not even started but with Allegri still there I am already disillusioned regardless of who may join or leave.
Saudi Arabia did the rest.

Maybe Chelsea should direct their attention to a number 10 and just use Lukaku as a backup to Jackson.

He must be realizing now that no one wants him. Might as well stay and try to win the Chelsea fans over again.

Part of me wants a Rom redemption at Chelsea.

He's a numpty but he's our numpty. He need to keep his trap shit, hand over his social media passwords to me and I'd have the fans back onside in a month.

All well and good until his attempt at a first touch.

I’m actually starting to feel a little bit sorry for him  It’s weird, he has great attributes but I think his biggest issue is mentality. He’s not a big game player, and not a player that deals well with the huge pressure that comes in big moments in big games. I think he’s had enough high profile stinkers to back that up.

Basically he is/was a good top flight level goalscorer (similar to a Jermain Defoe or Villa's Benteke type) who tried to PR himself a world class striker.

And in fairness, not only did many football fans fall for it but paid professionals running football clubs did aswell, I'm almost impressed.

He is in a different class than those in fairness. You can rely on Lukaku to bag plenty of goals vs the weaker teams.

His track record of stinking up big games crazy. That Belgium Croatia World Cup decider will go down as something special.

It doesn’t help that he slags off nearly every team he’s played for, sometimes while he’s still at the club.

I think the backlash may be overzealous (Player talked to a club about possibly joining them ? Bad optics, sure, but probably happens every day) but he really didn't help himself with that extended bit of "I have only one love and it is called Inter" right after landing at Chelsea.

CF market is so tight now there's maybe someone willing to bet 30-40m on him before September (that was Inter's bid before they retracted, IIRC) ? Perhaps a team just a tier below ?

I wish Chelsea saves us from making a mistake and refuse any deal with Juventus.
Because the only reason Juventus management wanna do it is to make the books look better financially.
Force him to go to Arabia please.

Did Rommy ever clarify why he did a 180 on signing for Inter overnight?

Presumably they just wanted him as a backup to an ancient Dzeko, and when he saw that they were only offering a salary befitting of a not-so-super sub, he threw his toys out of the pram.

Nothing weird here. He acts like an ungrateful clown. So of course he is hated.

Loan him to Roma who need a striker? At least he'd be with a manager who likes him.

That's an incendiary caption if I ever saw one.
Could see him go to a midtable club and go on a hot streak revenge tour, perhaps.

Never has a player played with us for 2 full seasons as a first team player that I've felt so disconnected with.

There is literally no feelings towards him, good or bad. It's as if he was never here.
