The ones that say he can’t play for now and have not given a return date? The same ones that allowed Rashford to be overplayed in the same situation which resulted in him being out for ages?
Maybe the “injury” is a smart ploy to not judge the lad right awaybetween freaking out and trusting the club's medical professionals to know what they're doing,
I wonder what this means for the times he will play.
Ok, so for the near future, he can't play twice a week.
Will he be able to give his all when he plays once a week, if he does?
This I find curious.
The media will try to sensationalize everything that has to do with United,
and the club will keep quiet about it and rightly so.
Wonder where the truth lies, within the middle ground.
Would this not have been discussed during medical ? and just maybe the reason on delay in announcing him ? as some adjustment in deal was made with discussion with Atalanta ? I can't see the worry surely everyone is on top of this and not some in the livingroon on googlefootballmedic.loosetheplotIt's mind-boggling that people who quite likely are not doctors, who have only just read about this in a pretty incoherent article from an unreliable newspaper, will claim to have a better assessment of this than a sports club with medics that have access to practically every detail of his body and health.
I agree. People can still comment on an internet forum though.Yes, those. Medical professionals at the club > random people on the internet

This is a huge risk by the club. Understandable for a cheap player but on a £70 million signing?
Same was talked about Haaland at Dortmund, do not overplay him in high pressure system and they didn't and he was fine. This is a huge risk by the club. Understandable for a cheap player but on a £70 million signing?
You make it sound like he's moments away from being paralyzed..This is a huge risk by the club. Understandable for a cheap player but on a £70 million signing?

He just needs to rest a bit, like any recovery from an injury so it doesn't get worse. The article massively sensationalised it so people like you would fall for it hook line and sinker
Thats why he’s being rested? Then the injury will go away just like any other? Any player who is injured or not can take a heavy knock and be out for years. Every player is a risk, the post is nonsensicalNobody has got me hook line and sinker ffs. It’s a small injury that could become very serious. Imagine he takes a heavy knock or falls awkwardly. It’s a huge risk by the club.

That's my assumption exactly. Besides, I can't picture a more ideal setting than a medical for this to be flagged and treatment to be prepared (treatment being resting). If he were to start and pick up an uncertain injury in his first game for us, that'd be obviously be a cause for concern. But this has been identified before we signed him, and is considered by the professionals to be a minor injury/fitness issue with a straightforward remedy. They're not exactly going to take an approach of 'yeah it's a serious problem but let's just hope for the best' on a £60-70m investment.Would this not have been discussed during medical ? and just maybe the reason on delay in announcing him ? as some adjustment in deal was made with discussion with Atalanta ? I've been getting sore fingers when I wake up. I've googled it and I'm either dying or my heart is packing up. You can't believe anything you google without knowing exact symptoms. Havertz plays for Arsenal though?

See You Coming LTDIs there any insurance in place when a club buys an injured player? Like a 20% off or something.
The suggestion seems to be that it emerged in pre-season this summer. The way I'm understanding it from what's been written and ETH's response is that it's not a serious injury and more a minor injury/fitness issue that simply needs to be sensibly managed. If we look back to the similar Rashford back issue, in his case the club may have been aware of it and disregarded the risk, causing harm, or it may have been unaware and the result was the same anyway after overplaying him.Atlanta did not spot the injury so?
From all accounts it seems to be, probably, around 3-6 weeks before you'll see him on the teamsheetIt is obviously not serious as no way the club would sign off on a huge transfer fee for a crocked player. I just want some clarity on when he will be playing…is it two weeks, two months etc? If we go into the season without a fit CF, I think we’ll be fecked - we are incredibly inefficient in front of goal and pre season just confirmed nowt has changed in that regard.
We can’t afford to lose ground early on when it will not just be Arsenal, Us and Newcastle fighting for 2nd, 3rd and 4th again.
I’m already worried Wolves will just come and sit behind the ball whilst we become clueless after the intial opening 10 minutes of promise.
Add to that, no pre season, adjusting to a new league and the pressure of playing for a massive club, I feel like we are not seeing the best of this kid until the new year. From all accounts it seems to be, probably, around 3-6 weeks before you'll see him on the teamsheet
That's not that serious then really. From all accounts it seems to be, probably, around 3-6 weeks before you'll see him on the teamsheet
After the preseason I think we are going to rely on the changes in the overall system to reduce the need for an additional striker. Rashford and Sancho will be filling in from the current healthy options and I bet Martial slots back in as soon as he's ready. Hopefully that's enough for enough goals - we'll need all these to add goals this season even when Hojlund is fit and firing.Wonder if we should consider signing a backup number 9 but don't think the club will
Not ideal. Hopefully he'll be fine once he gets match fit.
This was found during his medical…?
Before Utd paid his fee?
Why the feck would you then pay £65m for him!?
If true, it’s fecking batshit.
Should’ve offered them 40m or walked away.
fecking 65m quid for a complete gamble player who you discover in the medical has a dodgy back.
I’m really hoping this isn’t true.
And before anyone wades in - I’m not criticising the lad himself, I know it’s not his fault.
Oh great
We badly need some clarification on this, when will we finally get some luck with a striker
