F1 2023 Season

what a stupid rule

His car retired, why the feck does he need to "serve" the 5sec penalty? Or rather, why should it carry over to the next race?

I know its a stupid rule. Once car has retired, it should come back on race.

Just getting up to catch some of this. Max destroying the grid? Yep.

But what the hell happened? 5 cars out?

Decent race, tyre management and strategy again playing big part.

Ferrari back to slow again, they couldn't improve time on new mediums with cars on old hards, pretty amazing stuff. Congrats to Piastri, and Hamilton should thank Russel too after giving him position even though he didn't want to do it earlier in the race to him.

@United Hobbit one bad week for me and you’ll usurp me. @hobbers not too far back either. Will be close!

I'd love to but I think you've got too much of a points cushion. I think me you and Hob should have guaranteed a podium finish unless we forget to do it one week (I'm that sad I set reminders especially if races are at weird times/ sprints  )

I'm pleasantly surprised by my points this week, thanks Max, George and Lando for finishing where I put you. Up to 29th in the McLaren league. Also comprehensively beating my husband

What an absolutely appalling race from Perez. That second incident of his with Magnussen was a sign of a desperate man who knew he had to overtake but just couldn't do it. Terrible driving. And then he had the ignominy of having to retire twice! By the way, that seems like a big loophole in the rules there, allowing a car to come out and serve a pen so it doesn't roll over into the next race, even though you retired the car. That should not be allowed.

Max just being Max. Deciding to demolish the grid after the frustration of last week. Just complete domination. The Russell one was an odd one. Obviously, the one-stop call from him didn't work out, then you had the whole thing with him and Hamilton which was odd and tetchy. Clearly, Russell was still salty after that incident between them both earlier in the race where Hamilton forced him out wide (don't think it was a pen, btw).

I had 15.5 super bru points after a couple of shocking weeks

Does anyone follow McLaren on Instagram, some of their posts are really funny

How come Mercs are 2nd in WCC? I thought Ferrari are 2nd best all year long.

Ferrari haven't been second best car since start of the last season. This season maybe in one or two races at best. At start of the year it was Aston Martin, and later it was always one of Mercedes/Mclaren. At start of the season they were Alpine level in some races, 5-6th best car on the grid.

I don't think anyone ever officially retires a car from a race, you either finish or you don't, so there are no rules against bringing the car into the garage to work on it and then sending it back out again. No team ever does that though because you go so far behind the rest of the grid there's no point.

Nah, 3 points is basically nothing. You win bt a point a week over me and you are there. Going to be tight and I always bottle these fantasy leagues near the end if I’m doing well

Guess who forgot to make a prediction this week and has therefore rendered all predictions up to this point meaningless?

Yeah, sure, but you know what I'm saying. I don't like it, personally. Obviously they didn't do anything wrong by the looks of it, but still...

I'm like United and their top 4 trophy, I want a "finished on the F1 fantasy league podium" tag line if I do
