Extremely happy to see Hannibal get back to back starts. Great reward for his goal, weekend good performance full of energy.

Could it be Pellestri at right back ?

Mount right, Case + Sofiyan base , Garnacho left ?
    That’s not a bad call

    think you might be right

Disappointing that he doesn’t change keepers.

The manager has learnt from last season and I'm glad to see the rotation regardless of result. Obviously I want to win but we have bigger targets.

Hopefully Varane comes through unscathed and Cas plays no more than an hour.

Like the team, mostly because all of Varane, Amrabat and Mount get much needed minutes.

I’d like to see Amrabat play CM at some point aswell.

Game over for VDB if he can’t even get in a rotation team in a cup match.

only complaint is yet another start for casemiro. Dude looking shot out there already this year and we are running him out there in our first mickey mouse cup match.

    The bold is irrelevant.

The fact is we were flying and had even beaten City in the league. We were only 3 points behind City entering the final 3rd after our League Cup win. We already had our cup so ten Hag should have rotated in the Europa and Fa Cup in favour of the League.

Conte won it in his first season in charge as did Mourinho.

The standards here have dropped so fecking far. As far as I'm concerned, this is Man United and if you're in with a shot at the league with only 13 games left you go for it.

ten Hag cowered away from greatness, he bottled it.
Not irrelevant and you have chosen to avoid my question.

Conte took over a Chelsea group of players that won the Premier league title two years previously.

Ten Hag took of a mess of squad with a load of dead wood and signings made under previous managers that either weren't the right profile for the club or simply not good enough many of which were on ridiculous wages due to a clueless business man (Woodward) in charge of contracts.

Finishing 3rd with 75 points and winning a trophy was a decent first season under Ten Hag.

Good team. We need some players to rest. Like Fernandes. Hopefully Rashford stays on bench because he needs to rest his mind. Looking forward to see Pellestri, Mejbri and Garnacho together. Happy to see Mejbri start again although lets not exaggerate Mejbri last game. Full of energy but have lot to learn. Garnacho have to start improving on his last year and Pellestri will not get to many chances to show his skills. Interesting.
