Amrabat basically on his own in the middle. If we're using Mctominay so far forward Bruno has to be deeper.

This is the standard ETH set up, he keeps going back to leaving his deepest midfielder on an island by themselves, don't get it for this league.

Poor performance in the first half overall. 1-1 probably fair at this point. I want much better second half though.

Only positives so far are that I think it's Onana's best game so far and Hojlund has looked good and unlucky that he didn't score. General play from the team has been awful though.

Bruno and Rashford are particularly wank. Ten hag is pretty poor with his constance insistence on them.

Even Bruno assist was a bit jammy, he over hit a looped pass to McT and the latter made the best of it. The constant mispassess is just too much now.

We've been poor and given them much encouragement. Can't say Sheff U have raised their game.

Last ten minutes our players started to close them down and play a little, hopefully they can continue but it seems ETH is having problems with the team.

No real progress in patterns of play or tactics...ETH halo slips with every shine half

6 minutes of injury time and we managed to waste 5 minutes of it being as clueless as we were in the previous 45.

Getting really tired of this team, players playing shit but the coaching is the most one dimensional crap I have ever seen. This season so far, we have been close to as bad as we have been in the last 10 years in my opinion. Just an awful team to watch and we have the ability to make every opponent look better than they are.

Same old story. After working hard to get a goal, almost immediately got hit back with an equalizer within next few minutes.
I think ETH needs to implement a new rule to his players. Once we scored, no attacking risk to be taken for next 5 to 10mins. Just keep the ball in our half and pass around.

Every team deals with injuries. Admittedly losing pretty much the entire first choice back line sucks and has major impact.

With that being said: I did preface by saying injuries not withstanding. And it is not like even with those players United were close to what they should have been. The workrate seems low, very pedestrian when on the ball and players playing well below a basic standard. Surely he has some responsibility? There seems to be no idea or confidence. You really want to tell me the likes of Sheffield are fielding a better team? Injury excuse can take you so far.
People on here don't want to criticise ETH because they campaigned so hard for him to be chosen over Poch. He's done a terrible job this season and so many of our problems are tactical. All PL teams know how to play against us to get a result

Bruno is just clearly too dumb to understand the concept of game management. It's absolutely absurd how he's playing. It's so idiotic I have to blame ETH for letting him.

That said, good last 10 mins, do that for the first 20 of the next half and we'll be fine. Hojland having some real bad luck, he'll start scoring soon.

Mount for Bruno but it'll never happen.

If Bruno isn’t dragged off at half time then it’s a joke. He’s been absolutely abysmal, even worse than Casemiro against Brentford.

How long till we call a spade a spade and start looking for a new manager. I want ETH to do well but this is just shite.

Definitely starting to feel like we are in the delaying the inevitable stage.

We have to give him a chance with a full squad available. A reminder that we're playing a back 4 with maguire, lindelof and Evans.

Let's not forget how well we did last season and the faith we all put in him over the summer

    Poor.

The second ball keeps eluding us.

Our CB's are shit with passing out of trouble.

Bruno is fecking us over with that lack of patience.

Still, should have scored two or three.
That Rasmus late dive from Rashford.
    That Bruno fk
    This Rasmus late chance.

We need more control, 60' minute change of Mount and Eriksen for Scott and Amrabat if we're still level.

We'd be ripped apart with a midfield of Bruno, Eriksen and Mount.

I am sick to death of Bruno. Everything he does annoys me now.

Even giving Onana instructions on the penalty. Piss off. You haven't a clue about saving a penalty.

Bar the goal Scott McTominay is not playing well. He's a poor midfielder.

Would love to see ETH pull McTominay, Bruno and Rashford. All of them have been awful

We're missing our starting back 4. There's no backup LB fit, we're playing our 4th and 5th CB. We're playing McT and Amrabat in midfield. What does the Real team look like when their equivelant starters are missing?
The manager signed Amrabat, and benched Mount his new expensive signing for MCT let’s not plead poverty. Maguire and Evans have been far from the problem and I’m not going to have anyone gaslighting me into thinking changing Dalot to AWB is going to turn us into a competently coached team.

You were addressing how we play out from the back. Well, we haven't had our back line, the guys who are the best at playing out the back. United with Shaw-Martinez-Varane-AWB starting regularly instead of a completely new back 4 makes a HUGE difference. There's no stability so of course the team is going to play poorly.

Are you kidding? Casemiro, Shaw, Varane, Martinez, Wan Bissaka are all in our best 11.
Hardly like those 5 transform our football. Shaw would make a difference. Martinez would be struggling with the high balls, Varane would get injured again. Casemiro would look old.

Cannot be convinced that this team will finish in the top 10. Just atrocious football, the worst we’ve looked lost-SAF. The level of coaching that gets you relegated, save for the moments of individual talent over the course of the season that has you finish 12th as opposed to the bottom 3.

    ETH is a fraud.
Was he a fraud last season when he took the shambles he was left after Ole/Ragnick and got top 4 plus a trophy + another final? Get a grip

our wingers are problematic, both look shot of confidence, if i were the manager id replace 3 players at half time (eriksen for bruno, mount for antony, and rashford for garnacho)

Not the best of halves, we are static. Changes needed at half time

It all starts from the back. Having your core defensive players all missing is going to make our build up disjointed.

A reasonable answer up to a point, but we’re not struggling to get the ball into the final third. Where we struggle is in the final third.

Eriksen, Garnacho and Hannibal not on the pitch is pretty stupid. At least one of them should be playing Id say 2.

He's been better than Antony, Rashford and Amrabat is the thing though. Not sure what Amrabat does and each time we get the ball to the wings it gives Sheffield time to organize because those guys always stop the play.
I thought Amrabat did okay, but probably my standards for Utd DM have dropped in recent years.

    Hojlund

Had two good chances but no goal. 5

Rashford is ignoring any overlaps while he dithers about what do do with the ball.
Several times he could have played one or two touches and fed the overlapping player, but he either doesn’t see them or won’t pass until he realises he has no option but to pass back.
